ok todays question " Discuss the importance and impact of NOTA option recently introduced by the election commission on Indian democracy" just a suggestion from my side :)

  • Also is it right way to frame an answer by taking help from net ?If not than can you suggest some.other way ?
Before you take help from Internet and books (I prefer books) - Try to write whatever you know about it (Let it be 50 words!) and then analyze what all you could have added or were you miles from the bulls eye!
    Seems like a good idea.
At first sight of the question only one point that is good governance came to my mind.
Nevertheless i'll try this way next time.

@andy133 Your assertion that "smaller states would have less bargaining and negotiating power w.r.t centre" may theoretically sound perfect but practically it does not have any effect.

Bihar, MP, Rajasthan, UP - BIMARU states have nearly 40% of the seats in LS. Talking about bargaining with Union government - I don't think they have benefited much because of their clout at the centre and have more to blame themselves for the poor or lackadaisical development.

    2. Size does play a role but it is not the only factor - I guess that is what you meant by your second point. ;)
Must say that you have read india since independence well ..hehehe.. Yes you are right but see UP etc.could have used political clout to their advantage. They did not because of lack of pol. will. So more bargaining power can practically result in efficient governance if it is coupled with pol. Will.

  • nishaan-e-haider lagake ghum rhe LUV bhai ;) ne mera suggestion accept kr lia hai so todays question is ""Discuss the importance and impact of NOTA option introduced recently by the Election Commission of India "(200 Words)
