India's unity is based on diversity and plurality.you can't ask a person of minority religion to covert in to majority religion since we need uniformity.The same sensitivity must be shown towards languages.Central government jobs still Hindi is forced on non Hindi speakers in the name of official language it is totally unacceptable.Central govt also having Hindi department and spend money for propagation but other languages have no such facility.Pakistan or Sri Lanka do the same thing in a hard way but india is doing indirectly in a soft manner.This is my personal opinion and I don't want argue further on this issue and I end the issue here.
@siesta fiesta - true. UPSC is nothing but a typical bureaucratic setup. They should just junk their GS4 paper. It's the height of hypocrisy. But alas, whether the game(or game setter) is fair or not, we have to play it. Rural candidates suffered before, they'll suffer still and they'll keep suffering in future. Such is the state of our country.
@kumar_deepak3265 - Jiske paas kuch nhin hota, uske paas bahana hota hai. Chahe woh anti CSAT wale ho ya pro CSAT. Log yeh bhool jate hain ki "garajne wale badal baraste nhin". Sadko pe baithke ya forum pe aake halla karne se kuch nhin hoga. Aaj CSAT hataya hai, kal optional hatayenge phir koi aur change karenge. Change is the only constant. Jinhe yeh pata hai woh ghar pe baithke padh rahe hain. Jinhe politics mein jana hai...woh sadak pe jate hain :P Interview ho gaya?
nahi bhai 22nd ko hai. Those who think removing CSAT will lessen chances for engineers will definitely loose game again. It could have only favored them if announcement would have come in july with 3 month to go(they complete optional in that time) i don't think its problem for anyone. It would have been better if CSAT removed completely and 2 paper of gs 200 marks each but let's play game with their rule

Upsc is for selecting crème de ala crème of indian talent.
Some years ago engineers/doctors etc did not cared a dot for cse hence the humanities guys got chance to warm the chairs in bureaucracy.
Now times have changed. Engineer/doctors too could not resist the charm power and money that come with civil service. Hence a beeline for cse.
It goes without saying professional course students are the crème De ala crème of India talent. So csat no csat professionals are going to rule the civils roost for years to come. History geog and current affairs is no rocket science that so called humanities rhetta parrot can only master. Humanities guys should quit cse and move towards ssc bank po type exams. Cse is no longer going to be a job for you. Darwin has long said " survival of the fittest" and you all my dear friends of humanities you are facing challenge of more fit more aggressive more strong professional graduates. I have been thru a professional course and I know the rigour the pain we have to go thru and the subsequent professionalism we imbibe in our work and life..(5 days a week we used to stand 8 hours daily for practicals)..
