Agar tum log IAS ke liye angreji ka knowledge jaruri nahi samajhate to clerk ko compulsion kyu? and most of the ssc jobs demand much more than clerical skills. If you are so willing to serve society and can't crack civils due to lack of basic understanding of English and aptitude related questions, then don't forget that you have opportunities in state pcs. Why don't you demand increasing jobs in state govt. Upsc recruits for national service and selection should be based on some criteria which is common for people from all regions. Regarding aptitude, please observe how all the management entrance exams are conducted in private sector. Why do you think they give so much importance to aptitude? Don't we expect an IAS to possess good managerial skills?
From 6:30 pm tonight CNN IBN will receive our phone calls about the issues in the UPSC examinations. Instead of venting out anger here, share your views in the national media so that it will reach the committee formed soon. Also there is a debate tonight @ 9pm

CSAT or no CSAT!!!!......the IITians and IIMs and MBBS graduates are going to crack it.....no matter what the pattern is ...the problem is that they are intelligent...if one want to change the scenario ....just dont allow them..... If hindi medium students want to improve their success rate.....they will have to have more access to hindi medium materials which is not available and might not be in the near future.... Present mains pattern is not for you.....scrapping CSAT is not the solution UPSC is not going to return to the the traditional era pattern.....Hindi medium students will face bigger problem ahead...next time you will not have the option of Hunger strike either because you have wasted it in solving your CSAT problem....You have not been pragmatic in finding the solution...you have only politicized it by aiming your protest against engineers and management guys..... You had no motive to find the solution for the root cause.....under the garb of language you avoided the real issue.....
thats why hindi medium candidates are dunce and dumbo.
P.S - My mother tongue is also hindi and i am proud of it, but english has been and is the need of the hour. and seriously sometimes i feel english is far more better than hindi in every aspect, be it sentence formations, grammatical usage, vocabulary, comprehensions. And believe me my hindi medium bros and sis, english is a very homespun language , easy to write and understand. Try to learn it , and enjoy the whole world.</blockquot
hindi medium candidatea are not dunce or dumbo.
@moderator i think the comment made by our respected member dsnt violate any rule..
स.लो.से.आ. की परिक्षा कोई कला और मानवता के छात्रों के बाप दादा की जागीर नहीं के उसमे गणित के सवाल नहीं आ सकते। :D:D
absolutely true . but you should have written it like this : " स.लो.से.आ. की परिक्षा कोई कला और मानवता के छात्रों के बाप दादा की जागीर नहीं के उसमे गणित, तर्क शक्ति परीक्षण एवं अंग्रेजी की आधारभूत समझ से सम्बंधित सवाल नहीं आ सकते। :D:D"
@Moderators A balanced approach regarding comment moderations is required... IMHO this discussion is going nowhere and should be closed asap. There is already a thread running for rumour mongering over postponement of prelims.

Simple question to u. Who is the father of indian civil services?
Even Britisher used to learn hindi when they came here. They learned the hindi and ruled use .They never protested "ke hum too english hee bolege"
You know why britishers ruled us because they were adaptable and were not like us.You have to understand what is the need of the hour.We on the other hand were too narrow minded and rigid and were thinking only about our state or our language.
Learn English not to become a slave of England rather than learn it,master it and rule them like they ruled us.This way also u can show ur real desh bhakti.
I hope u will understand me ,i am not against u but donot u think ur demand is similar to M Jinnaha's demand of separate nation.Look at the conditions of pakistan now.Ambedkar also demanded separate nation but he was more intelligent and visionary than Jinnah by accepting reservation for his people. Because he knew when u start dividing there is no end to it.So act like Baba Saheb and not like Jinnah.
"Sword only cuts ,if u have to stitch a cloth u need a small needle not a big sword."
So my request to u ,please donot create this english hindi divide. If u want to protest ,u can carry on ,but don't bring hindi-english divide unnecessarily. This will help no one.
Why this candidates tagging me to this thread . I kept staying from this stinking area , still someone would pull me here .
