m from english medium and an engineer , still i think its not justice only 26 candidate in cse 2013. csat should not be removed but should be of qualifying nature ....and who r in favour of csat i think they should be focred to sit in the exam only in some urdu or some russian lang and should say now if u have G mai dam then pass it otherwise bhago yahan se...
Shame on them that they cannot handle a simple problem as CSAT then how are we going to expect them to handle bigger issues when they join service. It just requires 2 or 3 months of serious prep to master CSAT. UPSC should ignore such illogical protests.
It is the exam conducting agency which determines the standard not you. Your job is to either prepare according to syllabus or leave it. You cannot demand it to be conducted according to your wishes. Such open display of civil disobedience by candidates aspiring to join the steel frame of the country does not speak well. No wonder that the quality of services is deteriorating.
@iNVANDER really ?? take just 3 months and if u can try to become master in general studies and upsc asks only general studies paper ( even they specify there is no need to study speciafically still u do all books to pass the exam ? not master studies ....and try to score just more than 140 in gs ....i
@DM_SAHAB By your logic all the Engineers and Doctors should sit on Dharna for removal of humanities optionals! If you talk about justice then isn't it unjust that a non arts candidate competes with BA,MA's or even MPhil's of some of the Arts optional subjects? But they slog and make it to the final list, you don't see any rabble rousing there! IAS and other services have the onerous task of running this country, and if some candidates are going to chicken out when asked to move out of their comfort zone , then I guess they should reconsider there decision to enter the service!
@akrao_iimb as i am an engineeer i think i can manage arts or anyother subject but i think arts people cant ...so we should think abt them ...and also its not my logic we all engineers or doctor r like those we sit in the AC and say yar bajli k dam bhag gaye are yar dam bhadne se tmhe kya fark padega u r enough capable to pay while poor people cant....i hope u would get points
There was a time when I used to hear many rural background students clearing the Civil Services....this year not a single one till now...may be i missed some news...even if there may be few this year , I am sure it will be 0 next year.... The system has entrenched biasness towards middle and upper strata of the society.....the increase in the weightage of GS papers is putting question mark on their ladder to succeed....We all know the differences in the qualities of material in hindi and english....even if they do try to adopt it in english they are too expensive to afford...which village guy can afford these days wizard, frontline , cst, etc....in addition in the modern world of web you need to be updated with lots of information....they need laptops with internet and that too broadband..... Once upon a time they needed 4 good books for their optionals and 2 books for GS....alongwith fufilling all their responsibilities they used to clear it with ease....we used to hear some pursuit of happiness like stories....
We are privileged to have good family support , good academic background , good communication skills, good prospects of ending with a fine job even if we will not be able to crack this exam and now this biased system favouring us to put our feet on the ruins of their success.....Still not able to believe but the reality is UPSC is running the FINAL SOLUTION project!!!!!....
@DM_SAHAB In the end no body is going to give two hoots about how just or unjust the system was, the only thing which will matter is whether one makes it or not! As things hold today CSAT is a part of the examination, the earlier one accepts the reality the better. No point in debating things which are not even even real!
@DM_SAHAB "as i am an engineeer i think i can manage arts or anyother subject but i think arts people cant"
Why can't they?do you mean to say that those who pursue arts do it because they can't do any better, that they pursue it as some last resort, that they are less"brainy" than engineers and doctors folks and hence can't manage so you people "should think abt them"?
