  • My Attempts:

    GS1: 17
    GS2: 22
    GS3: 23
    GS: All

    Essay: Science and Technology

Optional Geography : I am worried about low marks in optional due to nature of paper 1. Attempted all questions in both papers.

    Interview : A P Singh Board ( Expecting around 70%)
70% sounds good. You must have had a good interview.
And I too wrote the same essay. Though I made a mess of mine after the first page, tbh.

    Attempted:

    GS 1- 12 (Awesome, right? I know..)
    GS 2- 22
    GS 3- 23
    GS 4- 14
You still trump me with a good margin in total number of answers :)

Can people please give their realistic estimates for GS-1? This will probably be the GS paper with the widest range of marks, given how many people have done very poorly, but some have done exceedingly well.
    60-70 :((
  • GS 1 : 90-100
    GS 2 : 95-105
    GS 3 : 90-100
GS 4 : done all qstns but based on input form insiders that it has been harshly dealt I would say 90-100

    thus range : 365 - 405

    My Attempts:

    GS1: 16 Expecting around - 65-70
    GS2: 18 Expecting around - 85-90
    GS3: 19 Expecting around - 85-90
    GS 4 : 235 Marks Expecting around - 90

    Essay: Colonial Mentality - Expectation = 110-120 [ last year -104/200 on PPP ]

    Optional Pub Add : Expecting around 230-240 [ LAst Yr - 154/600 :( ]
    Expected Total in Mains = 660-690 :) :)

    Interview : D K Dewan Board ( Expecting around 180-190)

    So Fingers Crossed :)

Here's my estimate (based on an average score of 40% for the questions I attempted):
GS 1: 68 (40% of 180, left 30 marks and wrote absolute bull for 50 marks, so awarded 0 for 80 marks)
    GS 2: 100 (40% of 250, attempted all)
    GS 3: 84 (40% of 210, left 30 marks and BS for 10 marks)
GS 4: 80 (left the one 25 marker question, not happy with some other answers, so estimating a 40% of 200)
    GS total = 332

My optional is anthropology, which was rather hard to predict last year. Estimating 110 in P1 and 135 in P2 this time. That's 245.

Wrote my essay on the S&T topic. It was good, but botched the conclusion a bit. Giving it the same percentage as my last year's score (105/200), I get 131.

That brings my total to 708. Final score should be + or - 50, depending on how well the examiners were feeling when my papers got to them.
  • Haha! What I said was- "I'd be very grateful, sir. I'm running in negative at the moment." Two of the members laughed but the other three didn't react at all :(
Dude, that's actually great! Hope the board rewards you for that quick-witted comeback.
  • @spirate
What was your score in anthro last year?
I have no inkling of anthro scoring pattern. :(
  • Anybody with Ms.Kilemsungla's board?
Any feedback about her IFoS interview marking?
  • @Anand1990 I got 71 and 115 last time. I expected to get more in P1 and much less in P2, so was surprised by the reversal.
