M4: Quoted an agency that rates companies on ethical soundness. Two Indian companies, Wipro and Tata Power have featured in that list. You are in NTPC. NTPC is also in power sector and Tata Power is also in the same sector. Where do you think NTPC is lacking ethically that Tata power has?(Took a while, thought about it. Couldn’t think of anything very unethical about NTPC) Sir. One incident about Tata power comes to my mind. Tata power got a power project in Gujarat through competitive bidding. However, after the award, they found that the price of coal has increased. They were importing coal from Indonesia and the Indonesia government hiked the price. So they submitted a petition to CERC to hike the tariff. What is remarkable is that, even during the period od petitioning, Tata power continued generation. Even when they were uncertain, even when the petition could have been rejected, they withstood by their commitment to supply to the grid. May be that’s why they have featured in that list.M4: Is there an area you can think of, where NTPC can be ethically sound or improve?(Thought for a long while) Sir, the plant where I work, Simhadri power plant. We commissioned two units recently. Unit 3 and Unit 4. I think we could have reduced the time between commercialisation and synchronisation.M4: That’s ok. That’s on the professional side. Can you think of improvements in the ethical side? (Thought for a while). Cant think of any sir.M4: You were the co-chairman of the Students Union in your college. Do you think technical institutes give importance to these institutes sufficiently?Sir. The members of the students union in our college were not elected but selected.M4: You were not elected by the students? No sir. We filed nominations. There was an interview and the members were selected based on the interview. It would have been good if we had a system of election.M4. It would have been good? Ok.(Next member)M5: You talked about imagination of a poet from Sangam literature. In Sangam literature, there are lot of information that are relevant to modern times. They talk about geometry and astronomy even before Ptolemy’s times. What would be the tools required to unearth such treasures from Sangam period.Me: (Thought a while to understand the question. Unearthing treasures hidden in ancient literature. Tools.) Sir. A sound knowledge of the script would be necessary. In this case the Tamil Brahmi Script. (thinking) A knowledge of the modern sciences, as to know what we are looking for. (Thinking) A knowledge of History. (Blank). I can not think of any other tool sir.Chairperson: Ok. Your interview is over. Thank you.Me: Madam. Can I ask you a question? Chairperson: Yes.Me: I’m just asking this out of curiosity. When I was preparing for the interview, I came across the name Dr. Kielem Sungla in the list of Padma Sri awardees. Is that you ma’am?Chairperson: Yes.2 Members: This is news to us also. Thank You.Me: Congratulations ma’am. Thank you sirs.
Folks, had my PT on 25th with AP Singh's board. Most of the questions were from my DAF. The board was also quite cordial. In fact, IMO there were no questions of above average difficulty. I felt good coming out of the room. I will try to post a transcript soon. Does anybody know how Mr. AP Singh awards marks?

This is known as Over build up!! /:)
No .. no .. Dont think in that manner . At least that person had shown some guts to clarify the info .. How many of us would've interacted with a Padma Awardee's in their life time .. ? So it was just that inquisitiveness came in play . That was understood ..
