sir plz tell how to revise, i have finished gc leong and laxmikant once but how to revise them again and again. Plz share ur revision strategy.

Make short notes.. especially for gc leonge.. 10:1 compression ratio atleast.. merely keywords centred notes..

For polity ..Make short tabular notes of few comparative things across chapters.. plus write down EXCEPTIONAL things of any chapter on the start of the chapter and keep revising them whenever u open any chapter.. exceptional means ex kisi ek conditional body ka term alag ho ya post retirement appointment possible ho ya special process of removal etc kind stuff.. baaki cases or articles ko likh lo chart pe ek jagah jitne ho ske or ratto regularly.. (my learning from top scorers of subject)

Keep revising notes keep practicing ..Repeat..

For the Geo thing, I think you'll find the Mrunal geo videos helpful. The content is from GC Leong itself and its easier to revise when someone is saying it out. I have geo optional but those videos helped me a lot as well

Rigorous revision is must for Prelims..else despite having knowledge about the topic we mark some qsns wrong under exam pressure. And we all know that success and failure in Prelims for "potential" candidates is a matter of 2-3 qsns only. Revision can help one save these 2-3 qsns that play a critical role.

for GS 1,2,3.

In order to write decent answers, one needs to achieve the following objectives.

1. Writing with a legible handwriting with clear space between alphabets, words and paragraphs - Most of them already do this. If not, back to basics. Cursive writing.
2. Writing in a simple and clear language - Can achieve if one is strong in basics and have conceptual clarity, and decent grip over the language. If not, back to books and learning English.
3. Writing within the time limit - Can achieve this by writing lots and lots of answers. Practice is the only solution.
4. Maintaining relevant structure for the answer - Everyone has their own strategy. You will develop yours as you keep writing answers. Some prefer standard intro-body-conclusion, Some prefer pointwise, Some include flowcharts, Some include diagrams. It's all individual choice and all of them work. Make sure you understand your strengths and use them judiciously while writing answers, so that you achieve points 1,2 and 3. Structure will help you achieve 1,2 and 3.
5. Writing the relevant and adequate content in the answer - Can be achieved if you have thoroughly prepared for the topic or if it's a surprise question, use techniques like PESTEL or SWOT to write at least an average answer.
6. Meeting the demand of the question - Even if we have all the content, sometimes we may face difficulty in writing exactly what is asked. To be able to do this, take previous year question papers. Read them and see what points can you collect and logically connect in your mind. It's a mental exercise. You should see the question, recognize the content and form an opinion in 30 to 60 seconds. Do this for a few hundred questions so that the mind is conditioned to think in that way.

One cannot achieve all these objectives in one go. It needs separate practice. All these need to be achieved step by step, one after another.

Ultimately one needs to answer "all" 20 questions in 30 hours with "above average" content and "decent" quality.

nice summary , one point that other might not agree /underrated , direct crisp things will always impress the examiner . its reiteration of a well established tip that treat checker with respect , value his time and intelligence too

bhai mujhe dedo , kitne me doge , btw buy/sell wala thread mujhe b ni mil ra . announcements se hta dia hoga and khin 2-3 page pe hoga , let ,me check , btw u can make new thread for it in buy sell segment

personally i believe. reading once is not sufficient , its the second reading which really consolidates ( laxmikant , atleast ,throws something new your way every time you read) . rest the notes will help you

As someone pointed out here that for prelims apart from Standard books and newspaper (including current affairs magazine) something more needs to be read... Can anyone please pin point what are those fringe areas/ topics that needs extra reading...
