Mains results are out. Congratulations to those who cleared it. Mention whether you cleared or not and the reason thereafter. There are a lot of us who after failing continuously are in dilemma of what to do next. Going for PG preparation alone does not seem sustainable if attempts are left. Doing both simultaneously is not possible. So let's come out and draw a strategy together on which we can work.
Despite being easy question there are very few guys around me who cleared( one in four). So what went wrong? It's true that bad performance in optional cannot make you out of holy PDF. When one fail in mains it has to be both, GS and optional.
Out with MS Fifth Attempt Made to the final list twice earlier Already in service
This time what went wrong i have no clue. MS was not that tough this time. All those with 3 attempts exhausted, please start considering PG as an option or maybe CMS.
This exam is very unpredictable and even if you make it to any Grp A service except maybe IRS IT its a total waste.
Me, @MisfitMedico@anandmamc and some others are in as well. All of us are in service. Performance was average despite this year being an easy paper. Let's see how it pans out in the final list. I am worried about an year like 2016 where so few of us were in the final list.
Bhai log, same story with management and law again .. we have been targeted .. and you know where this bias is coming from despite an easy paper this year

Last year I went for pg preparation before final result. Studied my ass off for two months but was nowhere near optimum level. That's when I realised pg requires specialised preparation for at least one year. If you are feeling dejected right now, I say start your pg preparation right now. Batches have already started. Focus for one month on CMS and try to get in the list. Then achieve even a moderate rank and opt for cool pg branches and then prepare.

Yeah I am thinking of going back for PG prep.. atleast there is a guarantee that after putting effort one can get through. After failing in 4th mains continuously I have become clueless to what and how to work for the mains exam.
