Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.
P.S.: Invictus means "unconquerable" in Latin.
Dr you married or single ?
Single. I'm curious as to what prompted this question though.
How are you, Doc? And just in good humor, a memory, once you were taking suggestions on how to be a good catch here, am I right? :P I think versatile didn't see those.
Haha, yes. That was after mains, I think. Don't tell anyone now.
Thanks for the song, khatoon. And the kind words. Hugs are magical, but they are getting rarer by day. Atleast people I know think they are childish and mushy.
you know people you shouldn't know fir toh. Soo many hugs your way.
@DrKingSchuItz OK, top secret. Just let me know later if my suggestions worked for you.
Classes are good. Kids are good. I just don't know what to say to them when some of them don't pay attention in engineering curriculum because they are focused on CSE prep instead.

This is one of the things that a person learns the hard way. Ek baar bol diya hoga na aapne, bas.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low but the debts are high, And you want to smile but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit... Rest if you must, but don't you quit!
Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many failures turn about When we might have won had we stuck it out. Don't give up though the pace seems slow... You may succeed with another blow.
Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor’s cup; And he learned too late when the night came down, How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out... And you can never tell how close you are It may be near when it seems so far. So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.
-- "Don't Quit" by Edgar A. Guest.

Don't tell anyone now.
I'm all right. The usual stuff.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
OK, top secret.
Just let me know later if my suggestions worked for you.
