I really doubt shankar's cutoff prediction this time. I think they are underestimating the cutoff.They underestimated it last time by a large margin since seats were increased and still cutoff was at 116.

last time was a different case altogether ... forum thread was filled with 120+...in 2016 clearias poll there was a clear spike between 110-115..cutoff went 116 this yr In clear ias poll u will see 2 spikes between 105-110 nd 110-115... I believe these r the people who scored 120+ last yr.. their base effect force them to participate to know their position.. when inflation to the real data will occur every spikes might not inflate in the same rate..

this is just a example how many theories can b made... bottom line is wait for result... since 2013 every yr was a different story..

Aapke 117 aarhe hain toh cutoff 116....mere 130 aarhe hain toh cutoff 129....sab ghatiya aur selfish logon ka yahi logic hota hai
