100-105.ppr was not easy.. very less direct qstns. last year hangover of 116 is preventing us to predict below 105.but believe me cutt off wont go beyond 105.
your sentences are contradictory...don't make it a habit in mains.
When me and my friends came out of exam hall after first paper we were unanimous that the cut wont cross three figures this time for open. All are aound there and since they are always there in mains and since we have not met anybody with genuime non controversial 110+ our assertion stays. For us veterans it will be 98+-2 to be exact.Chill guys and prepare for mains like tomorow never dies. Present asssrtion of around 107 with market keys is rights because 2-3 questions will definitely go wrong in them which brings us to club 99 . Since 107+ 8=115 not possible this time we have to settle for the lower end of the spectrum. Anybody 99+non controversial will be writing mains as per upsc key.
103 99% r getting 12-15 marks less than last year.i think those 3-4 qstns doubtwale are gonna be decisive
This year's paper was easier than last year. Core to the basics. Cut off will definitely go higher this time. Don't mislead people.

paper demanded more analytical and recalling ability as compared to previous couple of years. 70 questions attempt karne wala paper tha ye but last year jitna score karne ke chakkar me attempt 80 hi kiya logo ne and negative jada hua is baar. moderately on tougher side tha . easy to nahi keh sakte as drastic fall in marks is witnessed by many as compared to last couple of years

Acha aap Ivan ho kya bhai Waise yaar iss baar to mje aapki predicted cutoff thodi kam lag rahi hai (for both CS & IFoS) ... although, I wish ki iss baar bi sahi hi jaaye. Khair dekhte hain ... next 40 din me to result aa hi jaega. Padhai start krne k alawa to abi kisi k pas aur koi option nahi.

I am from General category.
So, General category CSE = 6 Attempts. And General category IFOS = 6 Attempts.
For 2016, cut of are as follows Open 116 OBC 110 Sc not known St not known. Only 13000 candidates will write mains this time. Since tracking civil services trend since 2000, my guesses for 2017 are as follows Open 110 OBC 106 Sc 100 St 96 PH 86 The reasons are as follows 1) seats are decreased by nearly 100 for final selection 2) Many newcomers marked on guesses only & these guesses are found to be correct 3) day by day competition goes on increasing 4)As compare to gs 1, csat paper was very tough no doubt. It's math is very tough but comprehension questions are very easy 5) Most of paragraph's of csat are from THE HINDU, THE ECONOMIC TIMES, THE INDIAN EXPRESS & some PRESS INFORMATION BUREAU REPORTS. LET'S SEE WHO WILL BE RIGHT OR WRONG. I DON'T WANT TO DEMORALISE ANYONE, BUT COMPETITION IS CUT THROAT.
