@santra if i may humbly, i have one very very important suggestion.
What should be the remedy (if ambiguity is established), so that "no aspirant" suffers from the "relief granted by this PIL"? Case 1 : In a question, Multiple options are correct. In case of 2 options being correct, students who marked those two options should only be granted marks.Students who dint attempt should not be given any marks in this question. This ensures fair treatment for everyone. Similarly for 3 options being correct and all options being correct. Case 2 : Faulty question or All options being wrong or unfit. No marks should be granted for this question and this question should be discarded from the number of questions. Suppose 1 question is dropped. That would make cutoff to be out of 198 marks.
How ever there is a fault. Every aspirant writes the exam expecting 100 fair questions. So if one question is dropped, it reduces the chance of that aspirant to qualify.
Example of this, Suppose the cutoff is 102 and the aspirant is scoring 102 with the ambiguous question according to UPSC key. Now after this PIL relief, his score will get reduced to 100 and he may not qualify the exam. If he had one more "Fair" question, who knows he may have got that one correct and qualified.
In this case 2, to make it fair for everyone, the intake for mains should be increased corresponding to the number of questions dropped. this will offset the genuine aspirants missing out issue.
Please "plead" for only these two cases. If for case 2, extra marks is granted for everyone, then it would be advantageous for those who dint attempt that question at all. So please please consider only the above two cases only. This will ensure no counter PILs are filed in this matter in future.
PS, i am sorry if you have already considered this. I was already asleep when these thoughts started to come in my mind, so sharing at such an odd hour. Goodnight!
@anyone who knows santra, please make sure he reads this comment before going to court. Kindly request you to share this comment with him. @smartman or anyone.

I must reiterate that I am not against the PIL . I just don't think it would succeed . We all are aspirants . you should not feel discouraged at the opinions of those who disagree with you . best of luck .
@Einstein10 upsc could have corrected the paper If we have apply your case 1&2 the result will be by next June 2018 1.It's better to add marks for everyone and increase intake like early judgements We can't go and search every copy to see who attended or not marked 2.cancel the exam(this will never and ever happen) 3.Last option is the court can warn upsc so next year onwards you should prepare standard question
One have to understand that one fights for one's own cause..we dont know @santra , how she gains with this PIL.. We are just spectators..we have to wait for arguments and decree given by court ... In meantime if its against ur wish @Einstein10 pls dont forget to file counter petition..

Someone posted this on other thread. Is this true?
"This year was a new low, wherein all standards of lowliness were broken" santra has said 10-12 questions are open to subjective interpretation. If even 5 questions are dropped, the cutoff may drop to 100 and then the fuhrer's information will be bang on target
What if Upsc In reply gives answers to all the controversial questions.. I think no question would b dropped
do you think so? it is the most opaque system, it will never release answerkeys before the whole process. They had already given reasons for it
IVC question is a reason enough for PIL.
yes it is. This will be a future lesson for them. They may even balance the paper from next year
I am reading the news article again and again. Can't explain the soothing feeling in words. Dont know how to thank enough for santra.
ek juice unke naam santre ka
From this year leave Fuhrer and add Santra to you bhakti list. You sound so self degrading when you talk about Fuhrer. As if you would lick his @$$ to please him.
