@Maverick33 what is the exact difference between sea mount and guyot?
Sea mount becomes guyot, when it gets flattened by wave action. I guess you know how sea mount forms.
Mid Oceanic Ridges ( at divergent O-O boundaries) cause formation of volcanic mountains.. which is sea mount.. Once it gets eroded by wave actions and moves away from MOR it is termed as Guyot.
why does the price of same newspaper vary in different places? The hindu in delhi at 7 and in kolkata Rs.15.
What kind of tax or surcharge is acting here? Levied and appropriated by centre or state?

But remember, tax on newspapers and the advertisment therein, are under Union List (art. 92). Rationale may be cause, newspaper are most essential for freedom of expression and basic necessity and to not give such important (in terms of national integration, democratic values etc. ) item under state's control. And moreover there is not tax on inter-state sale and trade of newspaper...

So for your actually query, reason may be different cost price for paper printing, higher transport cost etc..
Hi seniors, Doubt: For answering in prelims should we consider exceptions? for eg; Q In which part of plants photosynthesis occur? a. Leaves b Stem c Branches d All of the above (I know, upsc wont give such primary class questions.This is just for example :P )
Now, we know that some plants have green stem and green branches which is used for photosynthesis. But the general rule is leaves. So, in such cases should we consider exceptions too?
