Just gave a call to UPSC(23385271) said "Sir I have been allotted Chennai as my exam center and my allotted college is drowned and I m unable to book any train as most of them are cancelled and probability of going there by road look dim by looking at the present condition,so is there any chance that exam can be postponed??" He replied Its still 15 days to go uptill then condition will be normalized and there is no chance of exam getting postponed.I tried to say that many of my friends are stranded there and there is no electricity as well as shortage of food and water hence they are unable to study,wont it be unfair he said what can he do its an act of god govt is doing whatever they can.." Please call,mail whatever u can do to pressurize them.

Friends ive filed a complaint with CPGRAMS,i think something might work if they get many complaints,kindly everybody co-operate,im in chennai the situation here is more than worse,kindly help commrades. 1.no power for past 3 days. 2.hip level water in on roads even in prime localities,in outskirts water entered first floor of houses. 3.mysterious fever due to water contamination. 4.food poisoning cases. 5.even the airport wont function until December 6(shut from December 1). 6.railway tracks have been washed away. 7.GST road connecting southern districts closed as many bridges were damaged. 8.buses also not plying. 9.imagine drainage got overflowed and entered the houses. 10.water snakes and so many insects everywhere.

You should have let the pm know that this is an exam only for 15k people,otherwise they think its a big exercise
My heart and mind goes to people of Chennai and Tamilnadu. situation should improve as soon as possible. Contact upsc exam cell and make them aware of ground situation. Ask them how they help you. Separate exam for affacted will be ideal but postponing is no solution.
i called up upsc just now. the person on the other side told me that situation is yet to be reviewed. The affected people can give a written letter to the commission. Pl write to the commission thru emails and try giving as many online petitions as possible. I also appeal to the other people to stand by us and cooperate in this hour of challenge. thank u
