    Some of the questions might not be of a high quality. Please don't be excessively critical. This is my first attempt at framing questions.

    1) The enlightenment ideals were instrumental in shaping the politics of the western nations in the eightenth and nineteenth century. Justify.
    2) American revolution was an economic revolt against mercantilism. Substantiate [UPSC 2013]
    3) "The french revolution had effects far spread in distance and time than the place of it's origin". In the light of the above statement, bring out the legacy of the French revolution.
    4) The continental system proved to be one of the major strategic errors by Napolean. Justify.
    5) The industrial revolution proved to be a mixed blessing for Britain. Discuss. [Chronicle UPSC mains test series 2013]
    6) Bring out the difference between 'imperialism' and 'colonialism'. [IGNOU M.A. History exam 2010]
    7) China and it's neighbour, Japan, responded in markedly different ways to the wave of imperialism that gripped the world after the industrial revolution. Examine.
    8) Is it justified to call the major national movements of 1920-22,1930-34 or 1942 in India as failures since they could not achieve their goal of national independence ? Explain your stand.
    9) The revolutionary stream of Indian nationalism played a complimentary role with regard to it's non-violent counterpart. Examine.
    10) Calling the revolt of 1857 as the 'first war of independence' does injustice to the revolts and agitations that preceeded it. Do you agree with this statement?. Justify your stand.
  • The period between B.C. 600 and B.C. 200 is important not only for country but also for cultural unity. Comment.

    The time frame mentioned by @shreya111 is not Gupta era but Magadh empire.

    Its related to mauryan empire and emergence of jainism and buddhism i guess. I have not framed this question. I saw it on insights and i was not able to write answer.
