Any senior player who can throw some light on this:
I submitted my IFoS DAF form duly before 6th October. But on 10th October, I received the Rs 200 fee back in my bank account. I waited for a couple of days to receive any email to confirm whether my application has been rejected due to some reason. But none so far?
I am a male, general candidate, so I am required to pay the fee. Therefore, it seems weird that the fee has been deposited back. But no further update from UPSC regarding my application status. Should I contact UPSC ? If yes, then how? The numbers on their website are perennially busy or no one picks up.

Also, if I go to UPSC office, will anybody entertain such an inquiry ?

Guys, don't worry. I know it's difficult to not worry. But in your DAF PDF copy you will have the transaction ID and fee paid details. In case you are listed in fictitious payment list, you can very well show the same and also your bank statement where Rs 200 was paid and then refunded after couple of days.
Trust me UPSC is very liberal and humane in these cases. So, chill and prepare.
can u plz tell when this ficitious list comes.
Guys, if you have taken a PDF of your filled up DAF, can you confirm by checking page 7/9 (Title - Declaration to be signed by the candidate). As far as I know, since all the process was digital/online, there was no provision to "sign" as such except for checking all "I Agree" type boxes.
I was going through my filled up form to see if I had done a mistake somewhere and I could only find this one. And since it says, application without signatures are liable to rejection, this made me even more nervous.
URGENT friends i deposited the fees yesterday by master card and transaction was successful.but today the 200 money has come back to my account and in statement its showing credited by UPSC.now i cannot do the transaction again as the transaction id generated yesterday has already been uploaded in form yesterday.I am yet to submit the form.WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?
