have just hrd, that a decision has more or less been taken on dropping paper 2 from csat, with the exam being postponed to end of september acche din???? can there ever b any certainty abt the exam!! guyz please provide some info
I also heard that...csat will be qualifying in nature....and merit will be decided by gs.......its the statement of leaders
Regressive step, if true !! I mean, WTF .. ab toh kuch bhi problem ho, people will simply protest and DoPT/UPSC will have to agree ! I have still not understood what is the protest all about ? Maths/logic/DI/Comprehension/Decision Making is same for all .. its just 6-7 english only questions which is an issue for hindi medium people .. and those questions are really very very basic !!!!
@woman@kuldeep_gupta ab bolo Jo bhi bolna hai . kaun nipat jaayega is saal dekhte hain lol
You are young so remember a few things. 1. Your competition is not with 2 or 3 people but with lakhs, so work towards that. 2. Never jump on to the results without taking an exam. 3. Others too might be good/better than you. 4. Let the rumors first turn into official words before you start throwing it on people's face.
it also applies to those who said @kannadiga101 nipat jayega..
If only CSAT is scrapped, it will be a setback; if mains is also shifted, there will be mixed feelings! By the way, how high has this information come from? What level?

what about people from arts background studied in regional language ??will they qualify in prelims having high cutoffs??.They spend more time on studying english language and doing maths, while other people preparing mains effectively...So they take years to clear the exam while engineer and management students can clear exam in single attempt only....

1. I am interested in becoming IAS. CSAT or no CSAT won't make too much of a difference to me. Although it might make or break your chances. So, I have no idea why you have tagged me. 2. It is as away from being official as it can be. The only thing official is prelims 2014 notification. This is just a rumour and if it makes you happy, good. I am least bothered about it.

Sir .. arts or commerce or science .. everyone studies maths till class 10 and questions asked are of that level .. so why this kolaveri di? Comprehension which occupies half of the questions is far more crucial than quant questions which are really handful .. !!
