Today is the last day of scheduled interviews. Brace yourself for some "insider info"!
They only have enough candidates for five-and-a-half boards today, so they can accommodate any absentees today itself. Given that last year's results were announced exactly a week after the last scheduled interview, I fully expect results to be out next Thursday.
I too opine the same. There are 55 candidates to be interviewed today. Generally 7 boards conduct interviews for 84 candidates/day. Assuming that 1 in 100 candidates might have opted for absentee day's slot, there will be 30 such absentee candidates( 30/3003). They can be definitely fitted into today's schedule itself. Thus i presume today is the final day of interviews.
I know people who have interview scheduled for 6th. So most likely there are more than 30 such absentees. Am just wondering if there are interview beyond 6th as well (say 9th or so).
Madam who picked up the phone confirmed that interviews are getting over today but she did not confirmed the result date saying tht there r a lot of formalities before result so not sure whether we can do it by 11th or not.

wow after a long time something from the source(UPSC) itself...so we can assume this info is pure gold ..result may come on 11th
The usual trend always has been that it takes about a week after the last day of interviews for the declaration of the final results. However, this year I feel that they would try and declare results at the earliest possible given that the whole process has been delayed by a month already- and since there's consequently much lesser time for FC and also for candidates to get on with CS 2014.
I can brace for the insider info but what if there is no insider info coming and we keep on waiting for results for more than two weeks. This is the scary part.
