d is the ans , because earth is tilted we know that , this feature of the earth causes the sun rays to fall in two ways . 1. vertically 2. slant . now , at the equator there is 12-12 hr day & night because sun rays are vertical throughout the year. condition in North hem during summer. when we start moving to higher latitude the sun rYs start fallin obliquely thus it rays cover larger distance and this results in the longer days and shorter night.

Question itself narrows the options to B and D because it says season to season and everyone knows seasons are due to revolution on a tilted axis.( 6th NCERT)
