We have a gram panchayat. people directly elect gram panchayat ward members and sarpanch.
Should the sarpanch be a ward member also?
People elect members of MPTCs(16589) to the mandal praja parishad. There are 1096 mandal praja parishads in AP. Do we have a president to this mandal parishad? If yes, how is he elected?( direct or indirect)?
@Rahul_upsc1 As the sarpanch election is separate from the panchayat elections, although it can be held at the same time, the sarpanch cannot be a ward member. The sarpanch is an ex-officio member of the gram panchayat as per AP Panchayat Raj Act, 1994. So he can't be an ordinary member. Can somebody else confirm this?
Also, the President and Vice-President are elected from among the elected members. Refer this: http://www.ielrc.org/content/e9412.pdf I hope I needn't add that election of sarpanch depends on state, not specified by Schedule XI, and that of the chairpersons at intermediate, district levels should be indirect elections.
Anybody attending tomorrow's Analog mock session? What to expect? Will they just give us tips or will they also conduct 1 on 1? Also the timing has been mentioned as 9.30AM to 6.30PM. Are they planning to cover AP related issues as well?
Hi, did any one attend the mock interview at Narayana Sri Chaitanya? Mine was today and I thought it was too casual. I want to know if anyone else felt the same way and also, if I should prepare for the main interview taking this as the benchmark?
