Anyone who took mock interview experience from previous years pls shed some light. Also how are you people starting/going about with ur interview preparation ? I am totally clueless
@Aficionado Bhai in hyd, Analog, 21st century, Srichaitanya, Braintree and few others provide mock interviews. Read some previous year interview transcripts which match your profile. Prepare your DAF completely.
Last year was my first attempt at the civil services exam and i flunked at the interview stage of the exam. I did my complete preparation from Hyderabad i.e. Prelims, Mains and Interview. Here I will give my assessment of each and every institute where I gave mock interviews.
R C Reddy: this institute conducted a series of lectures by noted personalities from public life (politicians, bureaucrats, retired ones, judges etc. like A K Khan IPS, Prof. Kodandaram). I found these lectures very useful. You just have to register yourself with the institute and they will text you the date and time of the lecture. They also conducted mock interview. Their review was fair and helpful.
Hyderabad Study Circle: This was the best institute to provide quality professional mock interviews(multiple). But the only disadvantage is that- they called all the candidates at a time to give mocks and that was waste of time (I felt) According to them, ever candidate has to witness every others interview and learn from them it seems.
Brain Tree:: They conducted a single mock with only two panel members one of them was Eenadu fame Gopal Krishna. This one was really helpful. Highly recommended.
Analog : RC Sinha is a good faculty and motivator. His lectures were helpful in knowing the fundamentals of the interview like how to present yourself, mannerisms, etc. They do not conduct whole panel kind of interviews but only one-on-one interview with RC Sinha. He takes a stress interview which is unique and confidence booster (if you give it in good manner)
Sri Chaitanya: Their classes were really helpful as they covered History, Geography, Polity and Economy of the state in detail manner. Even the city and districts were covered to some extent. These are must attend Classes. They interview was conducted in professional manner. But majority of the panel members were those of RCR and HSC. They advantage is that they record your interview and give it back if you get a Pendrive.
21st Century/Krishna Pradeep: This is the worst, unprofessional, money-sucking Institute i came across in the city. Right from the arrogant desk man to the big-headed KP every one were soo impatient, impolite and irresponsible. They have no value/regard/respect for the students time. They panel consisted of persons who couldnt even frame a single question properly. They themselves looked lost/lacking confidence(especially KP). So a big NO NO to this institute.
So thats it ... In all I gave 7 interviews, all in Hyderabad and none in Delhi. I felt I was well prepared for the interview but unfortunately luck didnt favour me. Rajni Rajdan board(her final year as board member)+ Last person to be interviewed in the day+ Hindi bais + my foolishness not to prepare graduate subjects costed me one whole attempt.
I have qualified this time again for the interview. Hopeful to convert it this time with some luck on my side.
My preference for interviews would be::: HSC> RCR> Analog> BT Planning to go to delhi and give mocks in Sankalp, Vajiram and Sriram
I heard Venkat Mohan is a good mentor for interviews soo ... I think I will check it out.
One final request.... I Do not use smart phone soo no access to watsapp. Keep me(through this thread) informed if there are any meeting planned.
Congratulations to everyone who cleared. I am in with anthropology. Let me know if somebody has formed any group, I would be interested in joining. If not, I can take the lead and form the group. Guess Google hangout would be convenient option for both people with and without smart phone. Any further suggestions are welcome.
All interested people can pm their e-mail I'd/ phone nos so that we can coordinate better and start asap. Please don't post on the wall as we cannot see anything posted on our wall( this is an error, the forum has failed to correct for long)
