But who will bell the cat ? We discussed a lot many good points regarding the problem Now let's bring this discussion to a logical conclusion Let's discuss about solutions and when I mean solution it should be low level solution and not a helicopter view solution In my mind discussion should be sector wise e.g. agri,industry Even better if we discuss points based on subjects in state list and concurrent list at least if not subject in centre list. Starting with agri : in my opinion north states should be encouraged to do more food processing and such industries should be set up in these states mostly and we really need to innovative here and in my mind idea is that we should have innovation lab in this region for food processing and that should be outcome based and output based lab unlike any typical govt lab with no target to achieve in a year(some of them are really good I am talking about the rest). Other point in agri could be the knowledge dissemination at grassroot level. I am not sure how much kvk have done in this area but in my vicinity I can see no major impact of these govt offices.people are using same old ways of agriculture and low cost technologies are not penetrating in these areas The last point in my mind is that in long term we need to lessen the burden on agriculture and a long term plan which should run in parallel to short term or medium term plan I might be wrong at many places since I made few assumptions so I am happy to be corrected Provide inputs for other subjects in the list guys
Govt. Should wala arguements are good and universally acceptable but how and why its due till date is main agenda

bhai jab Govt. hi sara investment Western states main le jaayegi to kya kiya ja sakta hai, jaha investment waha employment, even Tourism ko bhi apney hi state mai promote kar rahey hain jaise new statue of sardar patel, shivaji....Tax all India se but use kuch hi state main, in states main Minerals and Water resource esp. Gujrat main hai hi nahi sab upper reparian states par nirbhar hai but akar dekho.
Only solution is investment according to Population, Natural resources etc.in states. Nahi to Regional divide itta hojayega ki india main bhi Catalonia jaisi maang uthne lagegi.

Tamils ko khus karne ke liye GoI ne Automobile Industry Tamil Nadu main, Kannada ke liye IT centres, phir jab regional divide barha to Mr. Stalin ne Dravid Nadu ki maang rakh di, Matlab so called Hindi Cow belt sirf Vote Bank hai leaders ke liye no investment only Casteism, Communal larai karao aur vote lo.
There's a clear North - south divide in the country in terms of development that's because of our faulty priorities during the intial eras of planning commission. The Hindi agrarian belt is predominantly votes on strictly caste lines rather than choosing the leader who is really interested in development. This north- south divide is also the part of colonial legacy where there was deliberate focus on developing the southern (includes Western States of MH and GJ) states (largely because of port facilities which made exploitation of resources easier for Britishers). Sadly this continued even after independence as well. In course of time these states continued to grow and attract the investment but at the cost of development of northern states. There's also North-south divide in terms of social development. Southern states have better HDI than the northern ones. It's high time that we should adopt balanced regional development strategy to develop Northern Hindi belt. This region has enormous land resources potential both in terms of mineral resources and fertile soil which can transform these into growth engines of country. Only need is strong political will to rise above caste politics and work on developing the region.
Arguements are good but i disagree.
Why south was priortised clearly because of high secessionist tendencies.Unlike people of Bihar who are very amiable and flexible other ethnic group of our country can seldom acclimitazie in different social melieu.
ALSO We know what Thakres did to dravidians in 1960s and after that Dravidians seldom returned to Mumbai.such boycott can be hardly seen by Biharis typically because of pushed distress migration ensures quick and cheap replacement of victims.
Again the industry you are talking about requires high skill labour which is obviously available in south having profound legacy in STEM.
Why still less investments in Bihar .If investments and industries are setup we can see reverse brain drain and return of many skilled bihari engineers with spillover impact on whole economy and migration as well.
But how can it happen is big issue .for eg. We all know that Muzzfarpur is largest producer of litchi but it is processed by real firms in mumbai.The local goons didnt allowed setting up of factory over here. The goons of jungle raj era still sustain and haunts many.
But amidst all this there are several rays of hope.Bihar is fastest devloping state and chief startup hub as well.need is to reinforce our self respect.recoznige our importance in nation building as cheap labour as well as most amiable community. This will only improve our bargain at national level and make us to define terms and conditions of where and what place we want to work.Not by rhetoric muscle flexing of separatism and protest but by denying to accept any sort of exploitation even by our fellow country men.

The other typical bihari mentality that cant go along with vikas agenda is finding salvation in success or achievement of some influetial people of your caste even when you are still waiting for same ration in the same queue where your ancestors waited.In one such case there is temple of tina bhabhi by Dalits This forms the very basis of social engineering for elections and devlopment takes a backseat.

Aur agar aisa lag raha aapko ki poora Gujarat ya mumbai aur waha ke sab log aise hi hai then aap un logo ke club me hai jo ek balatkari ki wajah se poore state ke upar balatkari ka label laga dete hai.

पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश और बिहार के लोग भी आत्मसमान विहीन है . जहाँ देखो बस मुँह उठाये पहुँच जाते हैं . जब झारखण्ड था , तब भी यहाँ के भ्रष्ट राजनेता औद्योगिक विकास से मुह्ह मोड़ के बैठे थे। जनसँख्या पे नियंत्रण हेतु युद्ध स्तर पे जागरूकता पैदा करने की अपेक्षा स्वयं की जातीय संख्या में वृद्धि को देखकर अपनी नाकारा संतानों का भविष्य उज्जवल जान कर चैन की नींद सोते हैं।
गंगा के मैदान में आखिर कोई औद्योगिक विकास होगा भी कहाँ से ? जरूरत थी / है छोटा नागपुर.. .ओडिसा को पश्चिमी यूरोप बनाने की . पूर्वी तटरेखा को शंघाई , हांगकांग बनने की.. दक्षिण कोरिया की तरह मानव संसाधन के विकास की ... बस यही नहीं हुआ यहाँ .. चाण्यक्य , आर्यभट्ट की कर्मभूमि आज उपमहाद्वीप का सर्वाधिक अशिक्षित क्षेत्र है.. . मानसिकता आज भी वही सामंती प्रवित्ति वाली है.. . खिलाडियों की जगह नेता/अपराधी पैदा हो रहे हैं .. बलात्कार आदि पर तो मूक समझौता अब पूरे उपमहाद्वीप की विशेषता हो चुकी है।
और ऐसा होगा भी क्यों नहीं .. जब पुरषार्थ , आत्मबल , विश्वास का आश्रय छोड़कर .. जाति धर्म के बूते पर सब कुछ हासिल हो रहा है तो यही परिणाम मिलेगा ..
मगध की सेनाओं ने कभी भारतभूमि की सीमाओं का अतिक्रमण किया था .. उनकी संततियां आज भेड़ बकरियों की तरह हाँकी जा रही हैं तो कहीं न कहीं हमें भी अपनी गिरेबान में झांकना होगा ..

Lame excuse and gross simplification of various factors involved in voting patterns. Notwithstanding the lootera politicians who just singlehandedly contributed significantly in the “undevelopment” of Bihar.
Himachal pradesh has also not been like some “secessionist” states of south or border areas. Yet it is the most performing states of north India in almost any indicators. So giving excuses like Bihar was not secessionist hence it didn’t get much attention is not true.

Well, I would disagree here..the present condition of Bihar and other hindi speaking states is due to their geography, they are infact land locked which makes their economy non-competitive and further more due to low purchasing power of local people these areas couldn't perform well by leveraging local market. Share of agriculture is more in these states' GDP and government policy of checking food inflation, agricultural prices further depress these economies. Election of ghatiya leaders are actually off-shoot of these societal and economical conditions..
haven't heard a more stupid thing. This geography inherited wealth across millenia. If a stretch pf decades overturn a phenomena of millenia, may be fault lies somewhere else. Did not want to comment on this thread or topic, but couldn't help seeing such flabbergasting argument. There is no region better suited for industrialisation as per geographic factors - of both physical as well as human geography. There is somthing very wrong at the fundamentals itself, the fundamentals that this nation works on.
Whenever there are external attacks on India, every state and its people get united, bury their prejudices against one another and speak in one voice. It happened during 1962 Sino-Indian war, 1971 war and even during Kargil.
Are we reached to that level that we need another attack on India to get together and empathetic to one another once again?
