    have not really worked hard for upsc to answer this question honestly. but from my life experiences and other useful endeavours hard work always invariably leads to desired success.

    Nope.....real life experience :mrgreen:
    Maine ek dekha tha horoscope last year, it was very promising and he got selected.... presently undergoing training at LBSNAA(IAS)
  • It's not a ratio but a threshold of hardwork.

    When you are good enough to clear prelims, have done adequate answer writing (you might have answer writing skills naturally. So it depends) and have completed your optional well, then luck plays a major role role.

    And before this minimum hard work, luck has NO role.
