Shankar has many wrong answers. NCERT clearly says sutkador had horse fossils. Polity of Shankar is a disaster. Most of them are wrong. DPSP are indeed limitations on state's power. A Pvt member bill was recently passed in RS i.e, "in the parliament" on transgender. Cabinet is for quick decision making and not collective responsibility which is COM. Moreover it was added by amendment. FD are correlated to legal duties e.g, environment protection act, flag code, IPC provisions against public disorders etc. Also constitution gives every indian above 18 the right to vote and the same constitution provides us the right to contest and get elected in the different elections. These rights can't be amended without constitutional amendment unlike the legal rights!
While I will wait for Vaji key for other questions, I just want to point out that that Transgender bill was not the FIRST pvt memb bill to be passed .. the first was in 1970s, I think
The UN-Habitat mandate is also derived from General Assembly resolution 3327 (XXIX), by which the Assembly established the United Nations Habitat and Human Settlements Foundation; resolution 32/162, by which the Assembly established the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat); and resolution 56/206, by which the Assembly transformed the Commission on Human Settlements and the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat), including the United Nations Habitat and Human Settlements Foundation, into UN-Habitat. The mandate of UN-Habitat is further derived from other internationally agreed development goals, including those contained in the United Nations Millennium Declaration (Assembly resolution55/2), in particular the target on achieving a significant improvement in the lives of at least 100 million slum-dwellers by the year 2020; and the target on water and sanitation of the Plan of Implementation of the World Summit on Sustainable Development, which seeks to halve, by the year 2015, the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation. Through Assembly resolution 65/1, Member States committed themselves to continue working towards cities without slums, beyond current targets, by reducing slum populations and improving the lives of slum-dwellers. Work and projects[edit]
SHankar has reected this option.
+1 Mai bhi same source se pda tha..and marked the option.

mahadev ji ..see ..surkotda is ok ,lothal bhi hai , sutkangedor bhi hai ..but the prob is ..even all those books while listing diffrences in harrppaa and arya culture mentions that harrapns were not aware of horse. now the only probe is the phrase "no evidence" used in the qes. only UPSC knows.
2.how are DPSP limitation of states power? limitation is a function of Fundamental rights. DPSP are directives they dont stop the state ..the full panga of basic of constitution golaknath , keshvanand , minrva mills deals with this.
3. a pvt bill was passed by RS but it was not the fuirst one my friend . 14 pvt bills have been passed in parliament before this. first one was "muslim waqf board bill on 21 may 1954 presented by sayyed muhaamad ahmed kasmi.
4.FD are not correlated to legal duties. if u dont follow ur legal duty the case booked wont say "voilation of article 51A cause they are not enforcable. further more it has been held by the SC that FD are corelated with FRs.
5.now the right to vote and elected is given by representation of pepols act 1951. other articles just say that no one will be discriminated on the basis of bla bla for voting. "324. Superintendence, direction and control of elections to be vested in an Election Commission.
325. No person to be ineligible for inclusion in, or to claim to be included in a special, electoral roll on grounds of religion, race, caste or sex.
326. Elections to the House of the People and to the Legislative Assemblies of States to be on the basis of adult suffrage."
"The elections to the House of the People and to the Legislative Assembly of every State shall be on the basis of adult suffrage; that is to say, every person who is a citizen of India and who is not less than _274[eighteen years] of age on such date as may be fixed in that behalf by or under any law made by the appropriate Legislature and is not otherwise disqualified under this Constitution or any law made by the appropriate Legislature on the ground of non-residence, unsoundness of mind, crime or corrupt or illegal practice, shall be entitled to be registered as a voter at any such election.""
see only entitled its RPA which gives u the right to vote and dont forget the right to be elected.
6.and cabinate and quick decision are two words that can not be and shall not be used in one statement.. this is an insult to the whole democratic process.
list of doubtful questions/answers in shankar and forum solutions?
Doubtful according to me:
1. Indus valley - Shankar says horse not known. Ancient India old ncert says evidence not conclusive. From my experience, I can say that unless there are conclusive evidences UPSC generally go with what is obvious.
2. Kakatiya - Very tricky. Masulipatnam and Motupalli both can be right
3. Small finance banks - Purpose is for financial inclusion to provide loans for small business and this can encourage rural entrepreneurship. Again previous experience says UPSC will go with the broader viewpoint.
4. Trade disputes act - GS Score says management of industries, Shankar say ban on strikes. Even though strike ban is there, the facility of tribunal as given in option D is not mentioned anywhere. Moreover the directive principle of allowing workers to be part of management is actually taken from british statutes.
5. Butterfly - These things are hard to predict. One can never be sure of consequences of fall in a particular species and generally whatever consequence said will actually be right.
Bhai what you think their ans are ?
