BJP's thumping victory was the last nail in our coffin. It was our only ray of hope. March 17 is just 5 days away. Core team has led the movement into gutter after almost 2 yrs of consistent efforts.
Hi All, First of all many thanks and gratitude to the many core teams members who have given more than 1 year to this movement. Somehow it didn’t materialize but it was fight worth fighting for.
By all means 2017 seems to be gone and I have absolutely no idea if the members would be looking for a chance in 2018. (If I have to give any personal suggestions then please do not and just carry on with your own lives). But in case anyone of you are still ready to strive for 2018, please read at your own risk:
Effectiveness of Core team members This core team (comprising Anand, Raghav and Surender and a few others ) have done more than enough). Simple because of the reason that they are the actual aspirants and not someone with any political motivations/inclinations. If someone can still get us attempts then these are the only ones.
Inclusion of popular figures in the movement If someone wants to get involved they are more than welcome but not at the cost of the core team members. Non aspirants would be first ones to leave the movement with the first sign of failure. Let us not give the command of our future to them.
Demand for increasing age limit to 35: Never ever this demand will be conceded by the Govt. I repeat, no political party will ever concede. There is only a minimal chance (even if there is any) for an compensatory extra attempt on lieu of the CSAT fiasco. All the UPSC aspirants were given 2 extra attempts by Rahul in 2012 but we all know how Congress fared in 2014 general elections. CAST issue become a political one wherein the hindi medium students were mainly effected. Govt has already rectified the same and our demand should be compensatory attempts for the years that we have lost in the CSAT era.
Election wins by BJP: It is an irrelevant factor. We never had such a huge protesting numbers which could have resulted in political setback. Neither their win or loss could have any possible effects in our attempts. Continuous efforts : The biggest protest that we had was on 10th Jan and then there was a lull till the week before notification. Even after the failure of 2016 the protests for 2017 started a late around December. If we have to target for 2018, then it has to be now. Let us strive for 3-4 months and gets a confirmed assurance and then move on to achieve what we all aspire.
Sporadic protests now and then We have done almost 35 protests till now along with a 55 days hunger strike with no positive results. The only thing that can get us attempts are : 1. Intensive lobbying 2. Asking any of MPs (either Rajya / Lok Sabha ) to raise our issue in the parliament . (We can gather support by collecting letters as has been done in the past well but this would just be an evidence in case we need to present our case to Media/National leaders). 3. A 15 min personal meeting with PM/Amit Shah This is the most difficult part and might take months before something like this can be arranged. But if it can be done, this would be most effective. 5. It will be a definite boon if we can somehow connect with one of the national leaders and ask him/her to lend us their support.
Numbers in ground Not everyone who would be gaining from this movement will not come to the protests. Let us accept this fact and build our strategy accordingly. People who are not able to come to Delhi might be able to assist financially as they have done so in the past.
Free riders: There will always be people who would be present in Delhi but won’t come. Some might be financially sound but may not contribute at all. Let us not worry about them but focus and associate with the people who are able to contribute in any possible constructive way.
Social Media: Can be used more effectively as done in the recent past wherein there was a huge retweets (courtesy @AbhiDI). Social media can be also used for effective communication with media/aspirants as well.
Why 35 years age limit is invalid. It is the most relevant demand and will get maximum support. You will keep getting limited support if you don't include 35 years in your demand

Actually many Many people said the same that sometimes direct answer was not given on this query. they wanted to know that when ppl were 32 in 2015 than in 2017 they must be 34 and 35 in 2018.but ambivalent answers were given to them even when they were present in protests.this was one of big reason of failure besides the update,suggestion-mafia and Twitterprotest-mafia. Anyway best of luck for future, look for pcs but start doing whatever job you find or open a shop because pcs takes 5,6 years to get good job. Share the news of job notification over 32 even if it is of clerk level that would do. From DM to clerk
