@Radhesh Sirohiya .. hey bro wat's this u don't need to go into this much detail.. don't scare people...
Question: Melford Spiro with his cognitive explanations discarded Durkheimian tradition of teleological explanations of religion. How far do you agree with Spiro's approach to religion.
this is non sense first go and see upsc papers.. this is irrelevant question.. Spiro not even mentioned in syllabus.. only functional and symbolic approaches..

Try to write answers of questions which were asked by upsc in previous years. This type of ques will scare everyone including me. So plz avoid all this in this thread whose purpose is to help others and study together.
This year anthro paper was far away from the previous years. Earlier it was known that most of the paper will come from set of 150ques etc. But this year paper was more dynamics, paper 2 was more of research based than simple tribal based etc So according to me trend of the paper has totally changed. Regarding difficulty it can be said that it is tougher than prev year paper. Most of the paper 1 was based on theories And 2nd paper - more of research based questions which u will not find in any book.
thank you sir..i had a conversation with a guy who had cleared this mains..he said anthro was easy this year but he si leaving anthro and will take some other subject..it was a bot contradictory so wanted to know the aam aadmi experience @stuartLittle

Every ques is related to syllabus only. So u must cover syllabus first and corelate things with it. For eg this year ques they asked about impact of hinduism on women status of central indian tribes. And we read only impact of Hinduism on tribal India or society. So these days they are asking specific things
Also south Indian palaeolithic, Erwin ghurye debate. Hardly there were ques in prev years like that. There are so many ques like that.
So I just want to say that u should keep in mind while studying that what are reading should b read in that way only I.e u must know each dimension of all things.
Every ques was from syllabus only but way of asking ques and ques pattern they are trying to shift. In that say I saw first time dynamism in anthropology which were never asked by upsc earlier.
I don't think upsc has given a restrictive syllabus. There are so many Elwin-Ghurye like debates. One cannot cover them all. This guy radhesh has posted some very scary questions. I think upsc will say that they are all from the syllabus. Don't you guys think that such questions reflect pubad like traits?
