Friends let me be very clear why exam will not be postponed? The reason is this- I had a talk with someone in a position of responsibility and that too when i pleaded ..it was an informal talk..what he said informally is this - "exam can not be postponed because we dont want to create problems for ourselves in future.Tommorrow sth happens in other part of country and you people will demand postponement.Then next year you will demand because sth else happened.We dont want to set these examples.India is such a big country.. something keeps happening here in one or other part of the country...everything is not in our hand.If we started postponing exam then in coming years it will become impossible to conduct exams."
This is the level of thinking that goes in our bureaucrcy.They are more concerned about future..no sympathy for the present..They want to protect that steelframe image..So give your best and pray god for everyone who got affected due to floods and thise also lost their precious time here in trying for the postponement.

yaha 2-3 log multiple profiles se aake hawa bana diye. hua kuch nahi.. apna time waste kiya hi dusro ka bhi bahot time waste kar diya. not even two real chennai persons were involved here
Mera man bahut gaali dene ka kar raha hai...saala thoda bahut gusaa is forum pe bhi nikaal du to man halka ho jayega..but i have to maintain the dignity of the forum.So leaving gracefully..
The events these days have made me really sad and disturbed. This is like making mockery of the affected people. Firstly a disaster of such level is already a failure on urban administration's part. And now they are failing the people again by dismissing the gravity of the situation. Thank god they don't wait for any "representation" before providing flood relief.
Postponement of mains will really put me in a disadvantageous position. But i still hope it gets postponed. I wish I could do something about it. It is simply not fair....
Some journalist from Tamil nadu has tweeted that the DMK mp who raised the issue in the rajya sabha earlier will be meeting the upsc chairman to demand two weeks postponement.
Don't expect anything to come of this even if this news is true (which is suspect), but who knows!
