Man seriously! Why the hell are you wasting your energy in trying to explain your evolved beliefs to these dimwits?
Just look at their comments! They think that by cherrypicking certain elements and posting videos/articles from the internet (regardless of the source etc) they are going to convince everyone on the 'truth' about a whole religion.
How enlightened they think themselves to be!
They think they have deciphered an entire religion based on stray incidents and what has been consistently fed to them by bigots.
It is beyond their mental capacity to realise or acknowledge the diversity in Islam.
Essentially this is what you are arguing against:
"Oh this horrible thing happened to me, the perpetrator was a muslim. Ergo, ALL of them MUST be the same. It's in their blood!"
HOW just how does one debate with such immensely flawed logic??
Also,WHY? It is pointless.
"I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig . You get dirty and besides, the pig enjoys it."
I congratulate you on your evolved thinking..just don't waste it here, on garbage.
Wow! what a prejudiced n bigoted mindset. She is indeed a true muslim. She is superior, other inferiors are as dirty as pig. She has deep hatred for hindus. Nevertheless , this closet communal lady disguised as secular stands exposed.
Yes she claims to be a modern person. But in reality she probably covers her body head to toe in a black ninja suit imported from Saudi Arabia. Reminds me of that Hyderabadi lady arrested for recruiting Muslims for ISIS. Another hypocrite like Aamir Khan.
another attack of infidels.....by proud tolerant Muslims...........bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35018789 messengers of peace .......spreading peace all over the world
@jobhikarwalo No one is saying 100% or 99% muslims are wrong. But suppose we take your example and assume 99% of them are wrong, that would mean nearly 2billion people have such a mentality. Won't that put the 5 billion in danger? Because 2billion is a sizeable chunk. Then don't you think it is important that we speak up lest humanity should perish. I get it that you want to potray yourself as a non generalizer. I want to do the same but I can't possibly be expected to keep mum about the intolerant happenings around the world.
If 99% muslims were wrong, then the world would be burning up in flames. But at some point, we need to hold the sustained ideology accountable. It is easy to wash your hands off by saying you cannot generalize. It is far more difficult to speak up and identify the actual problem even if that goes against the cherished principles of "secularism" and "communal harmony." When voltaire, rousseau commented, they were against the sacred church and the kingship. When copernicus and gallelio emphasized science different from that of the church, there were charges of heresy levied against them. What is the pertinent belief is not always right. Communal harmony seems all hunky dory but it is based on a myth. We need to speak against the harmful irrational beliefs present in all faiths. Again, I am blaming the orthopraxis and orthodoxy, not the groups or the muslims as such.
I request both of you not to make these sexist remarks at least. Rest, you have already won the territory confined under this thread, do whatever you want.
@Hakuna_Matata
Leave it be dear, just ignore them like I do. No surprises on the sexist remarks either it actually completes the picture.
They may go on and on brandishing me this and that maybe expecting me to react in their own language while the only reaction I can muster is mild amusement at these petty little clowns.
They are so courageous (because abusing a female on a platform that ensures anonymity requires A LOT of guts I must say) and I am a coward because I choose who I want to interact with. Well, i think I can live with that. Hakuna matata,no worries!
Brother you keep on mentioning God. You said GOD is not a jageer of Muslims.
Did you forget your kalma? There is no God(Not Christian God, No Ishwaar, No Buddha, No Jewish Jehovah) but Allah. And Mohammad was his messenger.
Your earlier post conveyed that you accept Krishna and Ram as prophets. Again this is blasphemous.
I am not picking on you. You are a rational person. But you forget that Muslims cannot be rationalists. You are the only Muslim on this forum to think in this manner.
Anyway goodluck with your preparation, I do hope that you crack this exam.
Kalima exact definition : There is no God but Allah And Mohammad was his messenger.
There is no God : Means There are no multiple Gods.
But Allah : The Arabic translation of Allah is One GOD.
so, the line is : There are no multiple Gods but just one God and Mohammad was his messenger.
Allah = Jehovah = Ishwar = Wahe Guru = Parmatma= Father in Heaven.
And yes again I admit, more than of majority of Muslims believe in the Kalima definition given by you.
Again brother, when Muslims are failing to understand the basic definition of Kalima, how can you expect them to do analysis on Krishna or Ram.
After reading few verses from Bhagawat Geeta, I knew that this book is divine and Krishna has to be a guided ONE.
Obviously I cannot prove it. That is why they say its blasphemy. But I would prefer logic.
The Moulvis may judge me, ISIS may behead me but I am clear on my belief.
So the conclusion of this thread is that these self proclaimed liberal intellectuals are so mind numbingly stupid and adamant that they are not willing to see that they may be wrong. That muslims are fundamentally bigots. They are not willing to see evidence from all around the world. They are not willing to see evidence inside the country.
This is what happens when you blindly copy your opinions from the hindu.
@Lorelei Umm, that was an instinctive reaction. Coming from same gender group, may be, I could not digest this much negativity with SHE word. Anyhow, best wishes for your mains. Hakuna Matata !

the hindu? why the hindu? is it having copyright or something? this is the thinking since school days that dont say wrong to someone who hasnt done anything. and have applied in all the cases. be it religion or something else. if 99/100 muslims are part of isis than go and kill them, but u dont have any rgt to abuse the remaining 1 by saying all. best of luck .
We should be at our desks preparing for this herculean exam and the Government here is forcing us to "waste " our time by pushing us to protests and agitation. Why don't they just give the damn 9/36 and be done with it, the rest shall be left to competition and the survival of the fittest rightfully. The biggest time and energy dissipating force here is the Establishment itself and not an external voodoo demonic force.
This may not be a clichéd case of intolerance but the absolute haughtiness and condescension of the government merits an entry into the Intolerance hall of fame. We are also victims of intolerance and hope our pain is noted. http://discuss.forumias.com/discussion/14084/time-to-get-rid-of-the-age-attempt-apartheid My road to perdition continues.....kindly read while at leisure to understand our travails.
