Pray where from did you interpret any comment or any part of my comment as saying 'my religion supersedes everything else'? I would never ever say that.
Now something that might surprise you. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 having blind faith in God and 10 being an atheist I would lie somewhere between 9 and 10. I don't subscribe to any organised religion,at the same time I really don't have a problem with those who do. To each his own.
What has appalled me is the amount of venom and jet black hatred 'educated' people aspiring to join the services harbour against fellow human beings and that too based on something purely ascriptive- religion. It is indeed very worrisome.
Okay now, i must take leave from here.

Socio economic condition of Islamic realm. They had less food and water especially during summer hence the month long fast prescribed in islam to save food and water. Less population in desert region, high demand of soldiers hence four marriages.
Did anyone questioned why these practices (mainly polygamy) should be continued. Rational thinking is discouraged in islam right from the beginning. They are told what is Haram and what is allowed. They are told not to question anything quran prescribes. This thread is not about debating whether or not RSS is an evil organization. RSS may be an evil organization according to some people. But in reality those guys are volunteers who did nothing but help people. They kept vigil during 1984, they helped the flood victims, bhuj earthquake. The only problem is they don't publicize their work and that's the reason for so many misconceptions about them.
It's about acknowledging the bigotry in islam. They are taught their own twisted version of history and statistics. A muslim once told me USA has 17% aids because of there open society and that people should adopt muslim culture, keep women in control.

And do you really need an authentic video to tell that Islam is the most backward religion of the world. When the entire world is moving towards democracy, gender equality and peaceful protests these people are going back to caliph, Women oppression, terrorism, beheading, stoning, ban on women watching sports, driving and pretty much everything that doesn't include being a sex toy and baby factory.

Since they believe they are committing in atrocities in the name of religion, it is only logical that religion either denounces such acts and disowns them or take a fair share of its blame.
@HammadRashid I know how scientific Islam can be. I admire many Islamic scholars and philosophers from Al Kindi to Al Farabi to Ibn Rushd to Rumi. I value their teachings. What I believe, is that a religion should be simple enough for a common man to follow it without having to misinterpret it and yet so complex, that the only philosophical meanings can be taken out from it are in everywhich way beneficial for the whole of humanity. Interpretations, if at all, should raise the level of thought. There should not be a single interpretation that can lead to denegration of the value of life. If that is the case indeed, a religion should be bold enough to clarify the inherent misunderstanding and give the right interpretation.
Eg- Buddhism is simple for those who want to follow its broad principles and they can safely lead a virtuous life without having to hurt others. Yet, it can be excruciatingly complex for those who want to go deeper into the texts. But no matter how deep you go into it, the deeper meanings can never contradict the broad principles. And all interpretations are positive. Same cannot be said of Islam. At its peak and interpreted correctly with the right education, Islam can be the most scientific religion. But when interpreted wrongly, it can be the basis for the most vicious ideology you'll ever see. Right now, more is the latter, less is the former. We need Ibn Rushds, Rumis from islam. Not osama bin ladens, baghdadis and mullah omars.

Did you forget your kalma? There is no God(Not Christian God, No Ishwaar, No Buddha, No Jewish Jehovah) but Allah. And Mohammad was his messenger.
