I think the most potent argument for increasing the age limit or giving extra attempts as compensation or woman issue is not on the humanitarian ground ( It would been better if we call it an issue of human rights violation) but its on the ground of justice. Denying candidates ample opportunity to prepare for an exam and and declaring them failure is destroying their dignity and proving them inferior to those who are successful. Its like awarding death sentence to the intellectual inside a human being. Its making him/her weak for his entire life at least in the social life around.
Since its a case of human rights violation I would suggest to send the petitions to the NHRC as well.
Let the administration also put cut off limits for marriage and having kids also until unless one can boast of membership in any affirmative action schemes. General category people should not marry if they are above the age of 30. In exceptional cases marriage can be done but in no case a general category person should have children above the age of 30...
To many of you, this would sound rubbish and funny. Only to a very few of you this would sound downright offensive.. And only those who are offended by the above will understand the logic and essence of my gratuitous proposal and the intellectual morass of fixing a upper age limit to civil services.

Feasibility and practicability is another issue and in no way should be ignored. But first comment on the truth, relevance and significance of the argument to the cause. if it is true, relevant and very significant we must not ignore this for the sake of feasibility. @gks

Since it has come to this point let me ask a troubling question.
How many of you(who get extra attempt in 2016) would be 100 percent confident of getting IAS in 2016 as their last attempt?
One out of ten may get IAS. Then what about the remaining 9. And if you name exists in that 9 people, would you not like to have another chance to show your fighting spirit ?
You will definitely want to.

Nah, I got my attempt in 2016 na..why should I care?......If you feel like this, then also no problem. You will still have roti, kapada, makaan. But in a few years, OC CATEGORY WILL BECOME THE NEW MINORITY..Nothing bad in being labelled as a minority, you would say?
