@w00t bhai i have some follow up questions , would like some input from you. this will be the last time i'm gonna ask about hindu addhyan ki kala
kal ka hindu .. secularism article , editorial me , was important? i read it i didn't find it useful vice prez said few things about iran , worth noting ? aaj ka hindu pg2- old delhi trader's... public's take on GST , such news worth reading , can be used in answers? the page that replaces editorial page .. kya h iska funda? sikkim wala article was useful .. what you think?
Hindu's sunday science page - should read it? letters to editorials - should read?
and many many thanks for answering it vaguely , i do google the facts i don't understand , like you suggested ,that's why hindu takes more than an hour. being from hindi background my dictionary is always open while reading it , so i end up spending more than 1:30 hrs sometimes.
Secularism - political so of no use for upsc Iran - If you have prior knowledge then no use else you can prepare it well like after reading just type india-iran relation upsc, some coaching wala must have dissects it very well, go through it and ur iran from IR perspective is complete, no need to go through it in future unless there is some significant progress/dev happens..
Aaj ka hindu abhi uthaya nhi baad mein padhunga then will let u know..
Sunday science section ka mujhe bhi doubt hai. What should we read from this section? Ongoing research are given in news, sometimes some complex compound discovered. Otherwise some research going on some animals. What type of news should be read from Hindu science section ?

Not much, Just noted down facts:
MSP serves as price signal to farmers and are issued by early June.
Kharif Crops: MSP to increase by 150% and to incentivise crops having high sugar recovery rate.
NITI Aayog has said: The responsibility should be of state regarding procurement, storage and disposal of crops with partial central assistance Pay farmers difference between Market price and MSP Involve private agencies in procurement procedure
Shanta Kumar committee ke recommendation Swaminathan ka bhi likh sakte hai shayad Lab to farm connectivity Green to evergreen revolution Cold storage facility Fertilizer subsidy should be directly given to farmers Feminisation of agriculture ho Raha hai...so easy loan availability hona chahiye Agripreneur Increase contract farming..

@ Prathmesh14- friend ,
a. most changes are in upto 10th class books-as that every ncert student will read-coverage increase b. nature of changes- events or persons are before independence mostly, so do not mix it with upsc asking questions and political parties- as 1857 mei kaun see political party thei..and remember ncert is a genuine source to ask questions- MAY or MAY NOT for Answers..haha c.tat pm yojana was asked this year-it is one of 2 policies added in ncert- so technically-upsc has already asked something from new ncerts..dont blast on me - for ' technically ' word
d. MOST IMP- u know what kills u in actual paper- when u read question in exam-e.g- if u dont do pt 365 or vision magazines- and question u read in paper- and u r not able to think answer of it- first thing comes to mind is- ke dusre students ne kiya hua hoga 365 pt se- so those students must be knowing-even if that question answer may not be in 365 material..
now, assume , u have done that material- u will know -that most of others students will also not be knowing, it kinds of relaxes ur mind, it gives confidence, and u r able to think that question answer- no matter ke sahi socha yah galat-but atleast relaxed mind se soch paoge
e. aur friend- mushkil se 20-25 topics or names hain-approx 1 saal pada hai-why thinking excuses now to avoid basic source stuff-abhi kar loh nahi toh baad mei time nahi milta- phir wahi hota hain- upsc class 11ncert se buddha visit kingdom type puch leta hain twice-and by time students switch to that source- upsc changes source..
sorry, if u felt offended by any of my points above..as i said earlier on this thread- its ur journey, its ur exam, on line is the selection of urs, so follow what path u feel right...
@orangeblack- friend, ur soil question, though u asked from prowess, and he already replied with mrunal source-have not seen mrunal-what given there, so i will reply here with just a hint- soil organic matter- this u can find in shankar - materials plant need or georaphy books- where u read on soils-like red, yellow etc-in geo ncert books little derivation is needed, but in environment books- given clearly b. irrigation- saline- ncert-11th geography- given clearly salinity n irrigation during green revolution in punjab haryana-and also given there-that gypsum is being added to reduce salinisation.. c. sulphur cycle- its from environment aspect- u can see it in environment shankar nutrients cycle- or derive by thinking- acid or suplhiric rain etc- abh rain mei mix ho ke giraga-toh soil mei toh geeraga he, soil mei gira hai- toh leaching ho ke flow bhi kar sakta hain to other places and stay bhi kar sakta hain at same place- so link it and think
also- as rightly pointed out in above reply- by ruling out it can be done easily
