@ginny19 others...please tell whether made easy notes for mech will suffice?? Any other material to clear concepts..thanks
I haven't seen made easy notes. They must be exhaustive and should be fine. I cant study in that much detail! If u can, made easy should be fine. But dont go too technical. Keep it basic and practical.
Brothers need is to targetted study and not holistic one.. Going through whole mechanical engineering will be like PDS system, we need to adopt an approach like Targetted PDS
Posting few questions that I feel can be asked.. 1. Why it is the fact that in space research we progressed so much to be among the best but in defence and other engineering fields we are still far behind? 2. Comaprison between coal fired power plant with nuclear power plant and problems associated with nuclear power plants. 3. What steps are required to be taken to improve the industrial safety from fire and other hazards, in light of bhopal gas tragedy 30 years. 4. How your education as a mechanical engineer can be used In administration? 5. If going ahead with increase in height of sardar sarover dam is a good decision, what are the technical and social challenges with it? 6. Why iron and steel industry of india is going through a stagnant phase and very poor export record? We r 4th largest producer and 3rd largest importer, inspite of huge iron ore reserves. 7. Why india imports coal from indonesia and australia when we already have large coal reserves in jharkhand, cg, odhisa?
@mnrnjn I am working in Power sector + Steel Making so questions are bound to come via my job experience route and you never know, when they are interested in asking minor details.. I know that, i wont be able to prepare mechanical in detail.. but questions from automobile, power sector, steel making, material science can be asked anytime.. So seeking some help with respect to that..

waste ............. one of my mech engg cousin has applied source ....if he clears mains , he is through...............all ethics dumped into bin............ i wonder why i admired him as a gud person ... in up pcs , it was always done , but upsc ..... and his mother tells this with pride ...!! @-)

Bhai I worked in steel sector with jindal steel plus an internship in tractor company and presently working with power equipment manufacturing company. So, my profile makes me vulnerable to questions from almost whole of mechanical engineering..
What is a quasi-static process?Can we have the plot of such process??

:-) As long as interest doesnt gets converted into passion, it can be considered to be a metastable state. With little more energy (in form of Guidance from seniors) the threshold level can be crossed.
