last year it shoot up to 107 ,so i think based on this trend , 120 should be a safe line this year ...
But again , I may be wrong (predicted 103 last year)
Ya sure why not. Anyway its very easy to score 120.
i never said 120 is even easy to score (forget about very easy) . In my personal opinion 100 plus is a good score in such level of exams but what can we do if the last year cut off was 107.48 . Secondly , I never said that cut off wold be 120 , I just said that 120 will be a safe score .
The number of aspirants understanding the game is increasing every year. I was having a discussion among freshers a few days ago. They were all very clear that just static portions from standard books like Lakshmikanth for Polity, Shankar for env, Spectrum for Modern India, Fine Arts NCERT for culture, Basics of economics concepts from Mrunal/Sriram/NCERT, 11th NCERT for Geo will occupy more than 50% of the question paper. So, people are increasingly scoring very high in such questions. In fact most of the serious aspirants will score 80 to 85% of qns right in static portions. Then there are easily identifiable techniques of eliminating and arriving at correct answers for other questions. Now that CSAT isn't there, everyone has to take GS1 seriously and so getting 100 plus is no longer considered a winning score. The concentration between 100 to 115 will be huge and this will decide the cutoff.
Like @shaamikebab said, please aim for 120+ for easier passage. Remember the time between prelims and prelims results is crucial. Those who study during that time will get more time for writing practice and they are the ones who clear mains. For this to happen your mind should stay free of speculations and that can happen only when you are comfortably clear on forum-speculated cutoffs.
