The demand for 3 more additional attempts must evolve into a consensus among aspirants of all types
1. Freshers(who tend to think that they have sufficient attempts) - few extra attempts will provide a cushion for things unforseen like job pressure(backup option too is very difficult if pursued after All attempts are exhausted, everyone will call you names like ' loser' etc), family issues, lack of money to pursue desired strategy etc. Looking at the success rate of UPSC freshers must wakeup with a clear dose of reality and it wont hurt if you have few extra attempts in your kitty - with a bit extra time and attempt you could fix a lot of nagging issues of your life so that UPSC preparation does not become an added pressure on your family- it will relief you with undue pressure and guilt of not been given free hand in calibrating your own pace of preparation- given the all encompassing grasp and maturity demanded by UPSC at all the stages of the exam.
2 Aspirants in the midway - who could better explain their plight of getting caught in winds of change
3. Aspirants with 1 or 2 attempts - you guys have to convince others that UPSC has an unpredictibe component and anyone who gave interview but could not finally get selected is no less competent. You have to influence the movement with all your might.
UPSC has already responded to aspirants in the last 2 years. It won't be the first time that stakeholders concern have been taken onboard. All that is required is we as stakeholders speak in one voice and help the cause in ways we could.
In a fast changing socio-economic mileu the unfortunate norm is " winner takes it all" . More opportunity to sit in the exam will be a sort of insurance of your own abilities- which is- even if things go wrong you won't be called a "loser".

This is my sincere heart felt mail to you.
I am an Indian Citizen belong to the OBC commmunity of Gujjars in Rajsthan. You would have surely heard about the Gujjar revolution for reservations in Rajsthan. People here do not hve a degree and they clamor for reservations.
I was 20 and my wife 17 when both of us forcefully married because my parents wanted dowry. Both of us did not have a clue what we were entering into , but agreed out of social pressure. Afterwards my parents did not support my education and my wife financially and used to tell me that you will know the value of Dal atta now. I had to support my wife and me @ tender age of 20 and through tuitions I was able to complete my graduation and get a job.
right now I have a girl child of 7 years old and I am 33 right now and still shiver from the injustice which my own community put on me. I would have gone mad or both me and my wife would have commited suicide out of the stress of dealing with an early marriage had it not been yoga and meditation that we survived.
Right now I am doing a job and supporting my wife and daughter. Also i have decided to keep only 1 daughter despite community pressure because I am mature now and know the importance of female child after studying for UPSC, I get to know the value of women child so studyig for UPSc is not waste of youth, but through it we learn about our country,our duties and the values of hard work and perseverence.
It is my wife's dream now that I become IAS and end Child Marriage and Dowry in my community , because if these 2 factors are controlled, the need for reservations will not be there. I have seeen enough in life and power and position do not attract me. what I want is the way both of us suffered of child marriage , others should not suffer.
Kindly consider my plea for increasing the age limit for UPSC exam so that people like me can come up and think about building the nation.
Demanding some chance from a democracy that has the power to make a chai waala our Prime Minister.
Hello friends ... I have watchining posts from last 25 days I'm this thread and found that everyone has own demand ..like some what 35 age .some women reservation ..some are for increase intake .etc .
Genuine demand is only change in prelims mere 2 months back in 2015 Bhai log be specific else next notification will come and we were Only discussing ..
