The correction has been done in the summary page and now its written - Did you appear in 2011? The condition of last attempt in 2011 has been removed... So we can apply without any worries...ATB
This changes answer of many candidates. Earlier those who appeared in 2011 but that was not their last attempt had answered " NO" to the question. But if now question is simply Did you appear in 2011? then answer would be YES.
Hope we do not need to fill form again as its UPSC's fault in not being clear at first place
Now due to rectification in question. from was 2011 ur last attempt to hv u appeared in 2011 now answers of many candidates have become wrong......see ur submitted form on upsconline... Now it appears as I hv not appeared in 2011 though I hv appeared in 2011 Those who have filled up the form earlier...taking 2011 attempt will face same issue..... Do we need to resubmit the form... Clarify..

Bhai in essence the summary page is nothing but reflection of what we fill in the prev page...basically the qs in summary page is repeat of the question already asked with the conditions (mentioned under note)... However in the summary page they have not repeated the note probably due to space issue or some other reason.... So just chill...the bottomline is that:
Did you appear in 2011 implies that did u appear in 2011 but presently ineligible for 2015.
Guys kindly clarify on 'Have you appeared at CSP 2011' issue.
Because for those who have appeared in 2011 and eligible for 2015, this might be very critical issue.
Suppose we put 'No' assuming that we are not otherwise ineligible for CSP 2015, then it might be technically correct. But it will appear false as per the text of submitted application which would be checked at the time of verification.
If we put 'Yes' there, then technically we accept that we are otherwise ineligible for CSP 2015. But it will appear correct as per the text of submitted application.
I have already filled 2 forms with both Yes and No as option. But still the confusion persist.
I called UPSC and asked what should i fill...if i appeared in 2011 and eligible through reservation in 2015, they said since u appeared in 2011 put yes ......but i asked them about the condition " otherwise ineligible in 2015 would apply to reserved category also" he said UPSC will come up with clarification in two days .....lets c
Yes, I am having the same problem, I am otherwise eligible for CSP 2015, but i also appeared in 2011. So i select No in the column. However, in the final application it show "Have you appeared in CSP 2011: NO" WTF, i have appeared in CSP, it should show that though i appeared in CSP, but i am not eligible for extra attempt. Please clarify what to do, i have sent in a query to UPSC too, but no reply, and the madam i spoke to said i should put in no only, otherwise it will be wrong, so i asked but ma'am in the final form it shows as appeared, then she says, pta nahi! hadd hai
Yar the summary page is just the repeat of the question asked earlier... Have you appeared in 2011 in its literal sense means " Have you appeared in 2011 but presently ineligible?" They should have written the full statement to clear the confusion... Point is that in summary page whatever we entered at the first place comes for review..no new questions are asked fields are populated automatically...so one need not worry....

Did you appear in 2011 implies that did u appear in 2011 but presently ineligible for 2015.
1. Candidate must have given CSE 2011
2. Candidate is not eligible for CSE 2015 - age wise or attempt wise
It doesn't matter at all whether CSE 2011 was your last attempt or not.
[I am saying this with full knowledge about the issue]
