    @alphaqsecc @aamengineer @whysoserious

I m sharing one more poem...... I wrote after i saw a news item saying them some people made the widow of a soldier (whose head was cut down and taken away by Pakistanis) fool and looted their all money. So its contemporary. I hope U all would like it.

Its very nice to see when somebody understands the same emotion, which made me write something. its always better than lots of hollow praises. The thing that u two @alphaqsecc @aamengineer captured, and pinpointed portions made my writing successful. Special Thanks.

and @aamengineer bhai.... ek aam aadmi milega poem me..... :D

I had written a short story and had shared it on Night Birds' thread. Found this place apt for archiving.

    Letter to Masters.

    Masters,

Bow. Bow (This is how canines greet).

Lost in thoughts, removed from familial bonds, I felt like sharing what have befallen me over the past years, through words. Mooreeze, my name, profile picture-mine again. An open letter basically means a complaint letter but I could not find any other fitting words, for I only know as much as I was taught in our community kennel. Masters, please go through the text.

2014. I was adopted by a well to do family from a downtown part of the city. Affluent family they are, I was chosen from the group of dogs because of my lineage. My mother’s breed is from Deutscheland, father an Indian street breed. As such, I had the ferocity of the Bavarians as well as the smartness of Indian street dogs. Life was complete, sorted. Life was fun.

Circa 2015. How can I forget that day? I was happy because my master was happy. In fact the whole family was happy because a new member stepped into my master’s life, and house. I would sit around the cute cherubic kid whole day. Wiggle my ears if the baby made faces, would rock the cradle if the kid wanted someone to play with, wag my tail if my she-master came to feed the baby. Life was beautiful.

Fate, people say, has surprises for all. The day was set for christening the baby. My master threw a big party for the occasion. People came. People left. There was joy all around. However, the next few hours were divinely intervened to change my lifeline.

Someone from the guests had put something on my food, for I know that my master would never do anything that would harm me. I felt hysteric. I ran towards the lawn through the foyer. I threw out everything.
The following day, things did not improve. Worried as my master was, he gave me bones, I declined. I limped towards the baby and sat. The kid’s smile had soporific effect on me. Alas, I was rudely awaken from the sleep when the new baby sitter kicked me hard. I salivate when I sleep, that did not go down well with the baby sitter. Unwell then, my body refused to have the evening meal.

The next day I was declared rabid by the group of visitors who came to visit the family and the baby. They warned how it was bad for the baby and the family to shelter a mad dog. I could care less for I had complete faith in my master and that he would never listen to outsiders. Little did I realise that my master would fail. He could not stand the loyalty that I had for the family.

By evening, I was forced to sit in the car. Teary eyed, my master kissed me last time, patted me.

How I wanted to tell my master that I was not mad, I was not sick. It is how the dogs deal to cleanse their system. Dogs eat grass to clean themselves, from inside. Fragile and weak, I could not bark to protest.
I wanted my master to see my loyalty, longing, affection and concern for the family. All he saw was the new baby. My destiny was sealed, forever. The driver drove me off the city limits, threw me out and sped off.

I wandered and reached home the next day. I stood for hours in front of the gate. No one opened the gate. I could not see my master. I was chased away. Perhaps, I realized, I was wanted no more.

Humans suffer from far worse diseases yet they are taken to doctors. Mine was a simple case of food poisoning. I wished my master took me to a vet instead of abandoning me.

Looking towards my master’s house, tears welled up my eyes. My heart bled at the separation from my master and the family. I could not even think of God at that moment for I always considered my master as my God. I could not even think of my parents because I was separated at birth from my parents because some people found me cute, thought it good enough to deny me my share of parental love.

I ran away from that place to other parts of the city, befriended other street dogs. With little food and poor hygiene, I know my time is near. I look old before my time, I feel more cold. The winter refuses to leave me.

I want to die naturally. But the recent order from Municipality only added woes to the penumbra of tragedy in street dogs’ life. The order from the Municipality says that all the street dogs would be forced to sleep. I found out that ‘forced to sleep’ actually meant killing street dogs.

Masters, does this planet only belong to the one who can rule? Dogs or street dogs never steal, never litter or never commit crime. We have always followed your orders and have revered you people. Why aren’t we allowed to live in peace? Is death the ultimate task to prove a dog’s loyalty?

    In total submission and anticipation.
