one palmist and one another astrologer had told me that an XYZ incident may happen to you at this time of the year........and it certainly happened.....it was not a generalized prediction that i related that real life incident with it......it was a precise one and it actually happened....i dont no whether it was merely a coincidence
either you try to live your life by predictions or you have the capability to make a plan and fulfill the plan. All those minds which are incapable of a plan will look for a prediction. The stars that you see in the sky are far away, so very far away that they have nothing to do with you. Just one star has a big influence upon you – the Sun. And its satellite, the Moon, also has some influence upon you. This planet has an even greater influence upon you. But above all, what is within you has the biggest influence upon you. All those who are incapable of committing themselves to a plan and fulfilling it, want a prediction. The advantage with predictions is, you can keep changing them. But if a plan has to work, you have to pay enormous attention in creating one. Then you have to stick to it.
astrology is true to an extent.it can not pin point your future or create miracles but it can definitely provide some light on your future.mind you, astrology is a science,it needs lots of knowledge,calculations,practice and dedication to be a decent astrologist.not everyone can do it. it is not a voodoo science or some mumble jumble process. the process of determining the presence of stars,planets and even your palm lines is very methodological. in ancient days,people used planetary positions for lots of activities. astrology is not everyone's cup of tea,only 0.1% people in this field are genuine.the rest are just another pseudo intellectuals who just fool people and make money. a good astrologer never makes himself professional nor he promotes himself by any means.he spends more time in his work than anything else. one my relatives was an astrologer,he spent hours working with his books and process. he took cases only based upon personal request,although he could have made big money from it. many of his predictions for my relatives and family friends have come true,some as long as after a decade. alas,he passed away when i was very young.
Let me get in, born in the family of Brahmins who practice Vedas and the rest, all around me are pious, have faith.
I am agnostic and an outlier to an extent. My uncle is a M.Phil in Astrology and I asked him what is this fuss about astrology and numerology and putting one extra R or K or H in your name can change your fate. How do people believe it.
Then he stated, Astrology is not blind faith. It is like a Margdarshak. Nothing in it is true that you sleep over it and it will happen. That is why I always look at the psyche of the person and tell things that relate to him so as to boost his confidence and give him a direction.
I watched him state a few predictions to some of his visitors, I saw what he observed and said. For the same birth charts with more or less similar planetary positions, he told different aspects to different people - here subjectivity comes in he stated. 3rd,4th,7th,10th sight of planetary houses, we can lay emphasis on one or the other.
Also, there are many aspects of this that are not proven. That does not mean they are false.
There are n fakes for 1 genuine guy and they prey on the fear of people is what he stated.
@ArindamSarkar I find it hard when you say Astrology is trash. It is a pseudoscience for god sake. Not all that cannot be scientifically verified is false. We need to give benefit of doubt to few. All are built on wisdom of ancient people, I have read the scriptures of few vastu and jyotish myself - the original sanskrit ones out of interest.
There is a vedic practice of Karna Vedha - It is considered Mutilation of body by the intellectuals while according to acupressure, it has few benefits which the scientific community has not been able to verify. So, given science is not able to establish a connect, will we condemn and detest even Karna Vedha
astrology uses a lot of processes which are not verified by modern sciences,that does not at once label it as trash.it is a very rare skill,that makes one a good astrologist. it is akin to believing in ghosts or god,you will beleive only it comes true for you,in flesh and blood. such things have very feeble chance of happening. the best astrologers are not known to public.
