Paid money = easy questions in interview + max marks ..

I m not saying all posts are for sale . but when u have money power + political links then its easy .
This is really stupid. You don't know what you are talking about and are just repeating things you have heard from some frustrated and failed candidates who want to blame UPSC for their own lack of success.

Why isn't half the final list filled with kids of senior bureaucrats and politicians?

These things only happen in certain state PSCs.
  • @kannadiga.....dont get senti man..no body is questioning ur intent... every1 is trying to gather max information from his/her sources... n all myt not be true as well..we shd not be judgemental against ny1...rather we should try to develop a capability to diffrentiate bt relevant n non relevant infos...lets do nt discourag ny1 from sharing info..
  • Doctor better keep your info with you...My observation says nobody is interested here in info provided by you..Sorry to say its issue of credibility!!! Dont take it at heart, its life...These things happens sometimes.

I dont have any insider info. Just wanted to share an article here and analyze the situation based on Psychological concepts that I learned for GS paper 4.

From any info people will select the information which they want to believe. And Human mind is really good in Fooling itself and that's something which most of the members here are doing. They are posting stuffs not to convince you but to convince themselves. From a person's post you can easily guess his/her background and that's bound to be correct most of the times.

If a person is insisting that Optionals remains then most probably is not from the so called "butchered" subjects or he thinks he is really good in his optional. Probably a graduate from top college with same optional as his graduation stream.

If someone says optionals wont tbe there then he must have given last year exam with butchered subjects.

Similarly, Non-engineers say CSAT would be removed while engineers want it to stay.

So, If a person supports an info which is opposite to what he wants, then that info should be believed. Anyone?

    Copy-paste from article.
We wanted to see exactly across the board to what extent people are willing to seek out the truth versus just stay comfortable with what they know," said University of Illinois psychology professor Dolores Albarracín, who led the study.

The research found that people were in general twice as likely to select information that supported their own point of view as to consider an opposing idea, with two thirds going for supportive views as opposed to a third going the other way.

Some people, particularly those with more close-minded personalities, were even more reluctant to expose themselves to differing perspectives.

They tended to opt for information that corresponded to their views nearly three quarters of the time, argued Albarracín.

  • @Stardust one kpsc member is our family friend . he is an IAS officer do u think he will lie just for fun . I don't think so .

It happens everywhere in world nepotism

And moreover havent you heard ..

Innocent until he gets caught or proven guilty ...

As aram bapu is prime example..

  • @moderator I apologize for using expletives .

But here candidates seem to me as if they are living in another world of no sin ..

Come on guys . there is nothing called foolproof if it is handled by humans..

Every year some posts will be there which have been decided earlier .

  • @stardust.. how can we infer who is telling truth n who is spreading rumour... the flaw lies with us..on one hand we want ppl to come forward n share each n every bits of info they hv...when the infos are as per our xpectation ...v praise them else we criticize... i think v shd develop maturity to understand which info shd be gvn attention n which is to be ignored..
  • @andy133
    +1
but if noti. comes on time. and no changes in pree or mains. then your account shld also be banned along with @kannadiga101.
Dude, i think it is becoming really difficult for you to understand what we are talking here. I am just reproducing the conversation i had with Mr. Farid. I am not claiming to be "Mr. Know it all".
Also, you to can call farid sir and confirm. But you won't because you like the entertainment here and adding fuel to the fire. Be a man, take that phone and dial the number for god sake.
I acknowledge the fact that either kannadiga is your friend or u r in love with him/her but don't be a fool to defend someone who is misguiding people openly.
Lastly, neither have i ever talked to you on the forum, nor have i directed my comments at you. Let us keep it that way !
