do study chandradhar sharma also, as dutt chatterjee is read by almost every philosophy guy, but due to lill bit of high level of content and language , chandradhar sharma is not preferred , even by coaching classes...And here is the point , where we can augment our score , as compare to the other normal candidates...to be the topper , we have to do something extra than the other people.. and that is the main difference between a topper and an AIR 400
  • thank you devendra:)and iam a starter and i hve no knowledge abt philosophy so can u also help me out of this plzz??good coaching??and group study vl it be possible wid this optional bcz i heard that this subject has lack of proper coaching and to clear doubts so very few ppl opt fr dis..even i cannot see a toper with philosophy as a optional

first of all, answer to your last doubt, Avinash champawat AIR -2, optional philosophy, batch 2003. Kiran kaushal , AIR 3, optional philosophy , batch 2009. Luckily both had got the Chattisgarh cadre.

Second thing, those who were the toppers by taking philosophy optional, they did not depend too much on the coaching notes for their answers, because, coaching notes only provide you the AIR 400 or 300, and to be the topper, one has to study , something and somewhat extra and more . Many students have lost the habit of studying from standard and reputed books, as coaching notes provide them , an easy and a lucid way to get the success. To some extent , they are correct, that is, by studying them and relying wholeheartedly on coaching , one can get the success. But in order to get the phenomenal and magnificent success, books are the prime tools.

  • @devendra_singh

Thank you devendar for your reply. It was very true and very insightful.
  • @devendra_singh its true and thank you..
  • @irava67 there are standard references available.Subject is interesting. So here are list of Books and study material of Mitras Ias with mindmaps and for some Topics you can refer to Patanjali Notes too.such as Indian Philo. but for western philo. Strictly no no coz it is really tough to understand without concepts.DO NOT MISS THOSE MINDMAPS.WILL HELP IN COVERING THE WHOLE CHAPTER WITH INTERLINKAGES.I have made notes converging both but now m prefering class notes of mitras nd mindmaps.only some notes of patanjali for critical comments.

    India Philosophy
Mitras Ias Class notes nd mindmaps of each chapter and Patanjali Notes(leave nyaya vaisheshik, you vil find gud in mitras notes)
READ THIS BOOKS ONLY WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH NOTES
    DUTT AND CHATTERJEE
    C.D.SHARMA

    WESTERN
Mitras Ias notes nd mind maps.
.Patanjali printed notes are really tough for beginner to understand. They are gud for 2nd reading
READ THIS BOOKS ONLY WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH NOTES
    Masiah

    Socio Political
Mitras Ias,some topics from Patanjali printed notes.
PHILO.OF RELIGION- Mitras Ias notes will come handy as this topic needs lot of comparision which is justified by this notes.
    O.P.GABA(Though I have not read)
  • @Madhu Thank you very much and i also went through ur pager its really helpful...can i get mitra sirs notes and mind maps??? and can u plzz explain what is "mind maps"in a little detailed manner whether coaching centres gve detailed notes with mind maps and whether coaching notes is enough to prepare if possible??iam a starter so i yet to join in a coaching for philosophy..and also can u suggest me for a good coaching and where i can get a proper source(material and discussion)
  • If you are looking for notes you vil get in the market. No need to join coaching. But for guidance and everything I have sent you a message.Pl check it as I dont want any controversy and polarising view or defaming any institution or organisation. But they are my personal and discrete views.
