  • I've been reading through the forums and many people think that psychology is not a scoring optional now. I think the problem is their approach to the paper. I don't know about coaching class notes so i can't comment on them but i can definitely assert that NCERT's and Morgan an King won't help you score well. I just went through paper 1 of psychology for 2012(which apparently was very tough). To score well you need to have good grasp of the subject, for that you can't rely on general psychology books. you'll have to read books on specific topics; not the oxfords handbooks or journal articles but undergraduate level textbooks. Trust me they are easy to understand. I'd say read NCERT's and Morgan and King to get basic idea of the subject it's methods and it's approach. These books are not sufficient, remember this is not a general studies paper please stop approaching it like one.

P.s If anyone wants to know which books to refer i'll be happy to help, but please don't ask me generic questions, come up with specific question, e.g. Which book is good for studying research methods in psychology? This way i'd know that you are a dedicated person and not a troll.
