@napolean - I attempted 2,4 & 6 problem is qus were very general & it was difficult to put in psychology...so wants to know what others wrote.. like-- Discuss the influences of information technology in modifying the career perspectives of young adults with special reference to the values of life. Poverty alleviation is a dream spread with ulterior motives.” Do you agree? Justify your views.
With reference to value education, I took somewhat negative stance(distorted perception, lack of Peer group association etc.); so value education suffers. All this was given in English Compulsory Passage.
Would you provide the gist of your answer for this?
i think both perspectives should be analysed..first wider aspects of IT i would have taken Positives- Start with Instructional & programmed learning,Information readily available- so well informed choice, emergence of newer fields of interest, societal-familial restictions & friction for newer & unconventional career prospects have reduced, Western Independent societies r having greater influence resulting in independent orientation towards career prospects, Various online courses have made lateral learning & hence value addition much more comfortable, carrier councelling & proper guidance, ( But again all these can be written in GS paper where is Psychology..??)
Negatives - adding to urs- information overload, familial tensions due to their kin insisting on unconventional fields, diversion of valuable time on online surfing, chatting -then Technophobia-philia can be added, Communication & education have mechanised & emotional bonding have diminished between student & tutor, Commercialisation of education system resulting in dryness of moral & value education, result oriented parental & societal expectation have decreased importance of values ,
PS- many r jst add on points cnt think much interms of psycho & this has been problem with 2013 paper - more general r qus difficult it is to attempts..
@rajj I'm also a student of Mukul Pathak (like many others) with non-psycho background; and he takes so much time for paper1 that paper2 chapters are completed by his subordinates in haste - Finally we have to rely on that small book by Smarak Swain for whole of p2.
Ideally all the questions asked in 2013 paper require psychological answers with backing of case studies; when we couldn't produce psychological answers, from where could we write case studies to back them :-??
Even though attempt was of 250 in p2, can I really expect good marks :-?
Guys I'm a chemical engineer + MBA. Took Psychology out of pure interest. Took mains this year without studying. So can't blame the subject. Just read the 2 NCERTs.. Could understand everything. Will do Baron + MP notes now.. Should I still join MP classes this jun-jul ? What do you suggest?
