@socrates- I have no problem working anywhere at all, but since they had asked for my preferences I gave them. I put the riskier cadres, with security issues, geographical isolation etc. lower down the order and the ones closer home right at the top. I hope they don't read too much into it as I also have many non-zonal cadres, like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, which are both considered good, pretty high up (at 6 and 8 respectively). @mango_dolly- haha those are the real reasons! But they only matter to the extent of lower preferences. I mean haven't most people done this? :-??

Hahaa I swear my stomach lurched when I read that last line. I will prepare my parents' hometowns and a couple of hobbies. Will watch some election debates in the afternoon n might go check out the new captain America movie this evening
@rookie This reminds me, I listed IFS as my second preference, but over the past few months I've decided I prefer IPS. What is the rank zone for IFS for people who have it as a second preference?

Bro the answer to this zero preference is straight n frank that i dont want anything below ias . Also i feel my current profession is better than many of the services mentioned in the daf . But it will be exciting to answer this question and i am preparing the same . Though i konw all of us are here for ias only but this move of mine has put me in a position which is gonna require some real smart moves to express my real thought and leave a positive impression without being arrogant or proud. Hope i am able to do so.
