1. Static focus shouldn't be lost. Leave no stone unturned even if past papers say only 1-2 questions from medieval. What if those 1-2 questions are easy ones?
If some static subject seems tough to take in, pickup books that are easier to read. I use Tamil nadu ncert for ancient medieval because it's simpler, though it might not cover everything. Once you master a simpler book, you can always go back to the most suggested book and it will be much simpler as 60% is already covered.
In subjects i like, i do go deeper than standard books. For example - geography from pmfias. Culture from nitin sangwan pdf ( apart from singhania )
2. Tests : always did more than 40 odd tests, that included 15 odd FTs. I revise them too. Prelims prep - gave 2+ months in 2nd, 3rd attempt too.
3. In second and 3rd attempt i did CA from two sources. First i master one source and then pick up another institute material to figure out the content that's exclusive from first source.
4. I don't know how to put this.. but be inquisitive in general. I think if you get VoLTE question wrong, you're not curious about the things around you. We see VoLTE symbol on phone on a daily basis.
In spite of all this, pre is an unpredictable stage. If you're out this year, don't conclude that you are not smart or you're entire strategy is at fault. There always an element of luck

I am scoring 114.66 by shankar and toppers key. Last year 92.66 2017 128 2016 138 2015 118
I was confident and so luck favoured me this time though i did not studied science and tech part and economics this time. Last year i had completed all syllabus but i was not confident bcoz of that i marked 4 questions wrong even though i was knowing answers for them. Missed last years pre by 2 questions. My suggestions - all those who have covered all syllabus has equal chance of clearing pre. But plz be confident and calm during exam . Over excitement or pressure will cost u few crucial questions. To keep ur nerves under ur control solve as many previous years question paper as possible .
Paper was very much on expected lines. It was factual though.
Yes... Almost all questions were known. Be it stress on medieval or Denisovan or DIditql signatures... I hope you must have solved all the medieval history questions.

Kuchh v SHUNYA notes k name ke according hi questions aaye. Zero question from shunya. I had subscribed and read.
Even Denisovan is not given in shunya notes which appeared many times in Hindu in dec 2018 and Jan 2019
