is it possible to crack ifos mains after studying only in the time period after cse mains
Bhai..Kiya ja sakta hai..But leaving it for that late is full of problems...Like thinking and discussing too much of civil mains(this will happen even if you have Buddha level concentration)..Only 45-50 days are available after mains..So I will suggest that do two things before prelims itself: looking at previous year papers and one reading of Geology book by. P K MUKHERJEE and Forestry by Manokamana and Prabhu..That will help you too much during those days after mains

Also Having a common optional for both will be a advantage

Nothing better than that.. Provided the optional chosen should be a scoring one like maths
is it possible to crack ifos mains after studying only in the time period after cse mains
It's very hard. This year I gave IFoS (4 papers out of 6). Mine optional were Chemical Engineering and Forestry. See the time is pretty less between CS Mains and IFoS Mains . Especially after exhausting cs mains ,easily 7-10 days are required for relaxing etc etc. Regarding forestry there is one book by manikandan and prabhu..which is like a guide book..the book has many cons and very less pros..it's loosely arranged, problem with indentations, concept very vaguely explained ..you need to constantly use internet for clearing concepts...and it takes time...so much time that i hardly got any time for chem eng...but since competition is less and questions are asked very straightforward and repeated of previous year...studying before hand can guarantee success...
is it possible to crack ifos mains after studying only in the time period after cse mains
I tried and failed this time. (Botany, forestry. ) i I could do justice to forestry only.
Anyone who could succeed please let me know what optionals have you chosen.
Geology/agri engineering + forestry seems to be popular combination for people who don't have a common optional with CSE. Please review your experience if you also prepared for only two months.
