I missed prelims for two successive attempt. This attempt lefty job in january. Did vision monthly from april 2017 till april 2018.
All standard books. Insights pt modules.
Revised newspaper notes. Solved all vision test series.
Was getting 110-116 by various keys.
And one thing i want to stress is that i could solve many questions just because of vision and insoghts. Was surprised after prelims when people were hurling abuses to coaching that nothing came from their modules.if one has studied properly many questions were there.
Like gm mustard waala. Vision main mention tha delhi university. Usi se eliminate ho gaye baaki options.
    Child proticol waala.
    Etc

  • There's no strategy. Just read as much as you can and revise it till your head is on verge of getting exploded.
This prelims exam shattered all strategies.

agreeing with Orwell ..Although , I have cleared it for both forest and civils but I still believe that I have not done anything different. Books are the same , other sources are the same , just one thing I didn't read PT 365 or vision monthly except (for may june ) or Insights ( I feel they are too bulky to revise ) but I made extensive notes from The Hindu and spent many hours with PIB .PIB gives some good matter for answer writing as well. Regarding test series , I solved only 8 full length test of Vision and Previous 15 years of UPSC papers. Previous year papers are the key .No matter if you are missing test series ,but solve the previous year on regular basis. They will definitely help you.Revise thoroughly and many may disagree but I believe luck is a very important factor. All the best and Wish me the same.
