this yr again 17 of those qualified in ifos shifted to civil services!
Who told you? Apart from 4, who are getting IAS, none of them have decided to opt other services from forest service.
But i saw an excel sheet ,in that i saw many of them have been alloted service in the CS...What was that?
Bhai service toh unko allot hogi hi. They have accepted Indian forest service offer letter as well. Now one has to decide which service to choose and then join respective training academy in December.
I wrote to sashi tharoor regarding this issue . I got 2 replies from his office . First one stating they will look into the matter. 2 mail said they have taken note of this situation and they will see what can be done .
I got first official response from moef They have repiled that our response is same which minister has mailed you. Further they wrote the proposal is under consideration of government of india

I think unless there is a collective demand, its difficult to force the govt to review the rules...at max they may simply increase the competition from next yr by opening it up even for the candidates from non-science backgrounds
