  • Educated Guess or in Layman terms Called as Tukkebaazi
  • With few Qstns debatable..
I am hovering around 120 again
    121 in 2016.
    What worked for me is-
Hobby of reading Extra UPSC- curriculum books.....
    e.g. biography of Nani Palkhiwala
(All insights into so called subjective Polity Qstns ☺️ )
And doing Current affairs in last one month....

Point is right strategy can help u see from which direction questions are coming.from just asking name of schemes in 2015 to moving to asking detils of atal pension in 2016 one could see it that they will ask secific details of govt initiatives, devoting just one full day to govt schemes solely, small n big ones could have got one many questions right.the paper was not unpredictable,if it would have been so unpredictable my analysis would have gone wrong but as u can see i have mentioned the exact questions which i had guessed on basis of my analysis of previous years question papers, and there r just those ones which i had mntioned here from my notes, there were mny more where i hit the spot correctly.though the paper was difficult because many questions were not straight forward and had confusing options, but getting close to what upsc will ask is itself a big deal.now i knew the probable areas of map bsed qustions, focussed accoridngly and got them right.one may call it luck also. :) i had guessed one question from fd,fr,dpsp, preamble, and as u can see there were lot many questions in polity from these topics only, though bit analytical.
  • dugong,crab(2014)---dolphines(2015)---olive ridley---kharai cammel(2016)-------???what next? obviously gharials(2017) or salt water crocodiles ( marine animals )

    maut ka tamasha-
unke liye dimag bhi to hai jo hum centre par sath lekar jatey hain?if u have done the probable areas nicely u r in a better position to handle philosophical questions and the ones from polity in a better manner than the rest of he crowd.agar exact questions hi sare areas se guess kar leta to mere 200 na a jatey?there is a reason y i m 60 marks below 200.we should not get the easy or factual direct questions wrong atleast, gharial me bahut logo ne galat answer mara hai ,as per my discussion outside centre.map based questions were not that easy if we are not thorough with the areas.global climate chaange alliance would have not been easy for me had i not read it.sankirtan kisi ne details nahi padhe honge to uke liye easy nahi tha.few schemes ki hawa bhi nahi lagti agar unke sub points nahi padhe hote.last year atal pension nd fasal bima were a signal ki do all sub points of schemes nicely.rashtriya garima abhiyan wala questionlast year which i got correct by tukka was a signal that do not- so- prominent schemes also.
  • 130s in 2016 and 130s in 2017 prelims also

    1. The questions are just extension from 2015 and 16 prelims.(from options or questions)
    2. Maximize attempt . Atleast 85 to get selected.
    3. Donot overkill by focussing too much on english in the statement.
    4. Answer at first instance come from unconscious and is correct mostly.
    5. Revise revise revise
    6. Newspaper and general awareness on day to day life is must apart from current affairs modules.
