slowly ....m gettin damn fucking sure....its all 3..... +2.66 ...at last....kuch to badhe...saare to nhi badhne
Forumias has also given all three Upsc always go for a broader perspective and it was purpose which was asked.as I said earlier that a single objective can serve multiple purposes
yeah SFB seems 100% all three.....one of the question whr keys will err
If you are replying to me.... then I was actually contradicting you
well opinion was sort of in response to clip shared by @LENOXX ....and in general understanding of ur piece......if 75% is for PSL ....then i guess it goes closer for option 3 being right..isnt it? .....as PSLs got heavy weightage for rural sector...and @LENOXX piece conforms for young entreprenurs in rural sector
Breakup is same as that of commercial bank for 40% and for rest they are free to choose areas in which they have competitive advantage.
And there is no sub target in priority sector lending with heading of young entrepreneurs in rural areas.
How can any bank with specific purpose will not have it as part of 75% of their lending target.
yeah...40 % is what i said heavy weightage...and dnt exclude even that 35 % ...secondly...checkout few articles on SFB on catering to what sort of population....as far as purpose goes.....3rd option will aptly get reflected
Nahi Bhai.... SFBs are same as normal banks with only fifference that they focis on small underserved areas.. They do all the functions same as commercial banks. They dont have any specific purpose of promoting young entrep in rural areas as such.... And if that is the case then all commercial banks have same purpose... now you can conclude
yup ...u are targeting on it being mentioned specifically in PSL norms......if it would have been objective which is being asked than that would hav hold true like in Nutrition vala quest.....here i think its broader.....and only lack of evidence which was of issue was abt it giving loans to rural entrepreneurs and they being young or not.....which has been addressed by so many snapshots here....
yeah SFB seems 100% all three.....one of the question whr keys will err

Rbi deputy governer has replyed to burger that ans is 1&2... but problem is in his justification... he said sfb is not made to provide loan to startup.. it is equity based
But examiner has used the word "encourage" Nobody can clear the doubt except qus maker be it rbi governer itself... it depends upon interpretation of qus maker...

Upsc always go for a broader perspective and it was purpose which was asked.as I said earlier that a single objective can serve multiple purposes
Why SFBs?Through SFBs RBI wants to mainly serve rural & semi urban areas – small businesses, unorganized sector, low income households, farmers and migrant work forcehttps://www.hedgehoginvesting.com/blog/understanding-a-small-finance-bank-sfb/
Microfinance entities, some of whom are gearing up to launch small finance banks, are on a hiring spree with plans to recruit as many as 15,000 people in the next one year, particularlyin semi-urban and rural areas.http://www.livemint.com/Industry/fMfTbtuCebedTh2C37APiL/Microfinance-firms-step-up-hiring-as-they-plan-for-life-as-s.html
What is it?The main purpose behind having small finance banks is to expand access to financial services in rural and semi-urban areas. These banks can do almost everything that a normal commercial bank can do, but at a much smaller scale. It will offer basic banking services, accept deposits and lend to underserved sections of customers, including small business units, small and marginal farmers, micro and small industries, and even entities in the unorganised sector.http://www.livemint.com/Money/PuQ6tbCp3IiYHWxd1MH5CP/What-to-expect-from-small-finance-banks.html
