Mods were giving her special protection, why this discrimination for that fraud insider, @varshaupsc never come back with your fraud information again, I remember baazvar was banned for calling her arrogant, is this right?
Agle saal saare insiders ki band bajegi agar koi inside info le kar aya to
Hello Doston, I'm no insider, I have never been an insider. But, we have a lot of family friends in the services, My dad was a senior civil servant during his times. So we were at a party 2 night ago at one of the IAS Officers home here in Delhi, where there were few members of UPSC as well. First of all they are very discreet and never really talk about the examination process in general I guess. And this uncle of mine told them that I was preparing, so they had all the more reason not to talk about it. But during the course of the party, I got to talking with these guys and they asked me how my exam went. I told them it was fine, found it a little difficult as compared to last year. So, they asked me if I checked my answers n all. I told them the keys have some ambiguity and hence I have a score of 129.33 and 132 based on 2 different keys (Shankar and vision, did not tell them, they were not interested in the institute name) So they were like thats not bad and then they asked me about my mains prep and the books I was using for public administration (apparently one of them had Pub Ad as optional during his exam). Told them about it all. Then we got to other general topics. After about half an hour I got the courage to slip the question about their views about the prelims this year and what can be considered a safe score. They said its difficult to say anything at this point, but at the same time they said they will not be surprised if the cut off is "significantly" higher than last year. I asked them why would they say that? They didn't give me a clear answer on this. So, I asked them what do they mean by "significantly higher"? After some effort from my end they finally said 6-9 marks are quite significant, isn't it? but why are you bothered if your score is what you say it is, you should not worry about these things and focus on Mains and they kinda scolded me for being there at the party!! . And then they got on to a new topic with others standing there with us. Now I am trying not to interpret anything out of this, but its hard not to. So, if we have to read between the lines, can they be hinting at a cutoff around 115?? I'm not sure.
I would suggest , stop banning anyone. Everyone here is graduate atleast , to understand right or wrong for himself/herself. Mods ko na toh paise milte hai yha , upr se free main they hear abuses.

dear.. try to get 120+ in prelims.. u have full one year time.. if u give 3-4 months dedicatedly.. u wil clear prelims.. but it will require studying intensely.. not leaving anything... at least the basic subjects should be finished 2-3 months before the exam.. and in last 2 months u do revision of basic books and current affairs.. dont leave anything for the last moment..
regarding insiders.. there should be two threads - like the old practice.. one with official moderation where genuine info is available and other bakar thread where people who want to do TP can do TP.
it is totally upto users what they want to do.
Every one will aim for 120+ next year, seats may also be lesser than this year, so cut off will touch 120 next year
banning them is not a viable option. one just can't but i would request @mods to not create any such thread or moderate them in future. it waste one month in anxiety by selling sensationalism and ultimately you get to know that it was not correct as well. some are going gaga over their prelims result and laughing on others who were not as "LUCKY" as them this year. 15000 write and only 200 get the dream job so better save your energies for yourself. others have been here and will come back like hell to settle scores forever. though reluctant but admit the fact that Focus created the much needed deterrence. earlier abuses and trolling and shutting down the threads were normal. he is a nice and very knowledgeable person. DrSchultz appears to be a wonderful and helping person. i didn't see any mod being unreasonably autocrat or nuisance. they are nice people. stop being a shamelessly selfish free user. these guys do alot for us. if you can't appreciate that , stop BS atleast. Wait till you become IAS or the other's attempts are over before writing them off !
