Bro...don't worry about what is going bad and what is going good....your performance in future should not be based on what it is doing today... People have scored about 240-250 in history too...while majority have been confined to below 200 or just above ... Socio has its own performers and low scorers... Don't be confused by stats .. if you are deep into history prep and feel history is for you then continue with it else think about socio...you have a lot of time to figure out this dilemma...but it would be better if you decide things earliest without being emotional...because if you have this idea that a subject is a poor performer then you might never feel confident about it...for your performance this confidence is essential both while studying and exam..
I will be taking CSE 2017.. Initially I decided to go for History optional but after History's dismal performance this time I am quite confused..
Shall I go for Socio?
Socio is not that easy @SPSahab shuruaat ka samay to aapko apne biases overcome karne me hi lagega.. Sociological perspective demands one to be free of one's leaning towards any group/ section. Once you have mastered that, you can delve into the syllabus.. Soch lo aap.. Thinking Mein changes laane padenge aapko.. Then it'll get reflected in your answers..
Choice of subject should depend maximum on individual's interest in the subject. Sociology is an abstract discipline require more devotion on understanding the principle, and mechanisms underlying concrete events where as history in more concrete in nature. On the scale of understanding and memorisation, history requires comparatively more memorisation whereas sociology requires more understanding than memorisation. Select the subject deciding your strength on these two scales.
Bhai Socio walon ko history aasaan lagta hai. History walon ko socio aasaan lagta hai. Doosra optional is liye accha lagta hai kyunki depth me nahin jaate. Every optional is equally difficult and easy. Your interest and capabilities in the subject matter. Itna socio padhne ke baad bhi 2015 mein aise sawaal dikhe jinka sociological perspective mere dimag se tangent hokar nikal gaya. Badi mushkil se aabroo bachane layak number aaye. Lekin kai logon ke bahut acche bhi aaye. So it's not the optional but the individual exercising the option which matters. Baaki may God help you take a correct decision.
I am also opting for History as an optional for CSE-2017,I love reading it and going into depths with it.But the main problem arises when i write mains answers where questions are depending on your thought about the question asked which puts me in a dilemma that 'what should be written to get the right marks'. Anways i am gonna start writing answer practice again. My advice is to choose an optional which keeps you in it and makes you feel to read more and think perspectively and in a more wide nature. I am Mech engg and i chose history,so it also doesn't matters from which background you are coming from, just be wise in choosing your optional
